I can't believe I never did a review for this game. As if anybody cares anymore for this game, maybe the people that can't afford Halo2 quite yet. Nevertheless I am posting this mainly for aesthetic purposes. Maybe someone wants to read a review from someone who sucks at reviewing? Either way here is a freakin review.
The game is a FPS(first person shooter) in the same vein as Doom and Quake, as if people who don't live under a rock don't already know that. While the game borrows many of the same elements found in other FPS' , it still manages to remain fresh and most importantly, plain old fun. Since there are two main types of gameplay modes included in the game we'll tackle them seperately.
The first is the campaign or single player mode. Sheer joy is experienced when playing this game by yourself. Cranking it on the legendary difficulty setting causes frequent and intense firefights. Even though the goals essentially remain "get to point A" and such it still remains fun. Sneaking up on sleeping enimies or sniping them from afar is a joy every XBOX owner should experience. The cinematics are few and far between, but extremely well done. Simply put, even if you have no friends this game is still a blast.
On he other hand most normal people have friends and want to play this game with them. Trust me on this one. This game will knock your socks off. The many different modes of gameplay coupled with fantastic gameplay, make this the ultimate party game. You must play this game with friends to get the most out of it. For more fun link up to four xboxes and 16 of your closest friends for a hell of a time.
So are there any drawbacks to this game? Well yeah, but they mainly lye in the single player mode. The stages and enemies get repitive. Also the stages seem a bit long, lasting a almost a couple of hours on some, really for newbies. But otherwise this game is a solid must buy. Get it, unless you have it already. But then again people with xboxes probably already have so the whole review is kind of pointless. Oh well, just another thing to add to the archive.
