The sequel to Magical Drop 2 which is basically the same game only with much much less characters, and lesser graphics, this game is probably one of the best games ever released on the Neo Geo, you cannot find a better puzzle than this baby, I dare you :)
So you ask, why is it so damn good? God, where can I start...the puzzle style is great, you have a small jester whom you control, he moves back and forth, and gets colorful gems to throw, the idea is to put 3 or more of the same color of the gem near each other, and they burst, and the opponent gets a new line of gems from the top..you can do chains, either put one and make them burst, then put a new one fast in another place and make a chain, or make gems burst and then when they burst if any other gems touch each other that counts as a chain, and the other player gets his ass kicked as a result (more lines appear).
You also have ice blocks, which change into a colored orb once it dissappears next to them, a color destroyer, which like its namesake wipes out all gems of one color, and special gems that destroy all gems of one color when they are used in a chain.
The game is quite addictive and I found myself playing this game for days with some ppl, once I played with a friend for 4 hrs., that was a good game alright...also in the game:
Many, many characters (21!)and each has a unique way of playing (while one gets more color destroyers, another might get more gems of the same color, the fool for example seems to get lots of goodies, when actually everything he gets the other side will get something better-basically, each character has a different atk./def. pattern);also each character has been taken from tarot cards, fool, chariot, even lovers, all in ANIME style, this is really cool cause I know quite a lot in tarot, and the art is good, plus when you do chains, your character will do a animation in the background. The better the chain, the cooler the animation.
This game is really amazing and all of the characters from the tarot (alright, alright, so instead of doing the lovers like in tarot, 2 nude ppl, they did a cute looking girl on a pig, hey kids play the game, not adults! ^-^) look as if they had been moved into an anime movie (one in the intro, looks really cool, could be a show-I even got the script! NOOOO, don't go! :o ) so what I'm trying to say is that the game is excellent! Go get it NOW!!! 3 and a half thumbs up!

GFX-9: Its more than good, its the best! Detailed artwork, anime style, many characters to choose, lots of animations, hey, its good, got it?
Sound-7:Good tunes, each person has a theme, sound effects are nice, I don't know Japanese though, so its kinda of hard to tell what they are saying.
Controls-8:Really quite easy once you get the idea, some ppl will have problems with the combo system, as it requires quick responses.
Gameplay-9:Yeah baby! 3 different ways to play-vs, adventure, or survival-very addictive and has high levels of fun-the game to play with ppl! :)
Replay?-yes, very-your mom and pops might not see you after you discover the game...
