I already know some of you people are wanting to hunt me down and kill me for only giving the Nes only an 8. Thats all fine and dandy, unless you actually find me but truth be told the games for the most part were mediocre and the graphics were pretty bad but great back then.
Okay there was a plethora of games that were on this system. Over 500 easy was my last count. There were plenty of great games that were dubbed classics that are still fun to play even today. The bad part was that roughly 3/4 of the library was utter crud. Most of the games were awful and never any fun to play. The graphics were pretty bad but they got better as the systrem aged. When they finally got decent the NES died. It probably has the easiest controller to use. It is one of my favorites seeing how it was almost impossible to forget which button did whta. There were plenty of innovative add ons with the NES such as the Power pad and the Light Gun which helped make those .75 arcades what they are today.
The really bad part was they made games on anything which may have deterred casual gamers who did not know what to get since half the games sucked. Also the games were unstable. Everyone has had to blow on at least one of their games to get it to work. I know this for a fact. NES games only work if air is rushed in the cartridge. Alsopasswords often did not work in games requiring them makeing gamers start from scratch. The games that did were unstable of deleting your file if the game kept resetting because of improper insertion.
Well the system is dirt cheap, as well as some of those little gems that are still fun today. Buy it if you are one of the 3 people who don't have one. Witness the system that helped shape the gaming industry we all know today.
