Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a action game with plenty of replay value and excitement. I still occasionally play this game as this is my second favorite TMNT title.
First off I want to get the bad stuff out of the way. You have to beat this game in one sitting which can be almost impossible condiering the size of the stages later on in the game. A password function would have helped a lot.Also later the game gets very cheap. The enemies start to take of half of your life. All that aside, the game is pretty good. This is a action platformer which will test your skills out. I wont explain the story since it sucks. You battle through a bunch of mini levels that are short and intense. You also get your choice of the 4 turtles anytime you want. That is just plain awesome. Each one has their own strengths and weaknesses. Use a turtle too much and he will be gone. Leo is the most balanced one out of all three.
You can get multiple weapons from enemies such as boomerangs. Eat the pizza lying on the bacteria ridden sewer floor to gain energy. You even get to use the turtle van a little bit. Overall this game is a pretty good one with plenty of innovations that keep the game fresh enough to play in one sitting.Buy the game since it is pretty cheap now. It is well worth the quarter too.
