Aina knew something was up with Matt. He'd been talking to that freak all through the lab. He'd been talking to that freak, in fact, all school year. There was definitely something up with him. She narrowed her eyes slightly. Who did he think he was anyway? Matt was HER territory this year. Well, soon he would be. Aina had the HUGEST crush on Matt. (So did a lot of girls at Odaiba Senior High.) But Aina had decided that she was going to go out with him this year. Have some fun. Her best friend, Ruko, seemed to be going after some guy named Izzy. Aina had thought of better than asking Ruko about it. Izzy was definitely a nerd. Couldn't Ruko see that? Aina smiled at Matt as he looked over at her. He looked at the freak and then back at her. Unfortunately for Aina, the bell rang just then. Damn. Maybe he'll come over here... She glared at the back of Matt and the freak as they walked passed her.

"What's the matter Aina? Didn't Matt say anything?" said Joe Kido to her. Aina narrowed her eyes.

"Fuck you Joe," she said getting up. Grrr! He was SOOO annoying, Joe was. She had a history with him, and couldn't tell anyone about it...but she let on that she couldn't stand being around Joe.

"I know you like him. Aina, look, I need to tell you something about him before you commit yourself. He's---" Joe started. Aina got up and shoved passed Joe.

"Excuse me, but I have a life to go live. Which is more than I can say for you. Loser," she said angrily as she left. Joe sighed.

"...gay," Joe finished. He shook his head. Aina's heart was going to be broken before the school year was out.

"What was that all about?" asked Izzy, walking up to Joe. They walked out of class together.

"Aina...you know, super bitch. She likes Matt. I was trying to tell her he's gay, but of course she won't listen to me..." Joe said.

"Oh...hey, I'll see you later Joe. Hey Ruko!" said Izzy walking over to her. Joe smiled. Izzy and Ruko were so cute together! They weren't official or anything...but still. Joe sighed again. Why did he keep thinking about Izzy?

Tai yawned. Physics was getting to be a real bore...they kept doing velocity formulas and slopes...he totally understood it, and that's why he was bored out of his mind. He picked at the fuzz on his fleece. It was mid-October of his senior year in high school. He didn't understand it. He was supposed to be having loads of fun. Not being bored out of his mind. Matt turned to look at him.

"Are you done?" he whispered, referring to their worksheet. Tai glanced at Matt's sheet. It only had two problems done!

"Yeah...it's pretty easy," Tai said, feeling bad that he had finished before his boyfriend had.

"Then help me! I don't understand it at all!" said Matt. Their teacher gave them a glance.

"Tai, Matt, please be quiet."

"Yes sir," they said in chorus. Then Matt looked at Tai again with those big blue eyes...pleading looking. Puppy face. Tai smiled.

"Okay okay. I'll show you at lunch," Tai whispered. Matt grinned.

"Psst...Matt...do you have a partner for the cooking project? In English?"

Matt turned around to look at Aina. God! The girl was so annoying! He nodded. Of couse he was working with Tai. Their teacher had assigned them to cook something that was traditionally American or English. A lot of people had taken apple pie. Tai said that he had an even better idea, but kept it a mystery. Matt couldn't wait to see what it was...

"Yeah. Why?"

"Oh...well, I don't. I was just wondering if you wanted to work with me..." she whispered.

"Sorry," said Matt. Aina looked disappointed. Tai turned around to look at her.

"He's working with me," Tai said, somewhat smugly. Matt nodded in agreement. She raised an eyebrow and was about to say something when Yageru-san walked between Matt and Aina's desks.

"Do you mind if I ask you blantantly to shut up?" he whispered furiously. But he didn't sound too mad. The teens nodded at their teacher. He shook his head and went back to his desk.

Tai grinned. Matt was getting it! He understood the way Tai could explain slopes and velocity. He grinned too, as he caught on.

"Gosh, don't you guys ever stop doing Physics?" said Izzy skeptically. They were at their lunch table.

"Yeah, I finished already," said Tai. Joe's jaw dropped.

"You did? WHEN?" asked Joe.

"Joe, calm down," said Mimi in a worried voice. The kids formally known as the Digidestined were still good friends in the real world. They were all thrilled when they heard they were going to the same high school. Joe wasn't so thrilled when they told him he had to repeat the 10th grade though...

"Sorry," said Joe. He pushed his glasses up nervously.

"I finished in class...why does that shock everyone?" asked Tai nervously.

"Probably because Physics is tough. I wouldn't know though," said Sora.

"Yeah, even I'm not finished," said Izzy. He showed Tai his paper. How could they not be finished.

"I heard why you guys are studying slopes and velocity. You get to go on a skiing field trip," said Mimi. The guys all turned to look at her.

"We are? When?" they all asked.

"It's just a rumor...but I think it's the next weekend after this one..." she said. Matt and Tai looked at each other and grinned.

"Room mates!" they said at the same time.

"Of course..." murmured Izzy. Everyone laughed. Matt looked at his paper again, and then slammed his book shut on it. He slid it into his bookbag and grabbed Tai's wrist. Tai looked up at him. Matt gave him...THE LOOK. Tai grinned even more.

"Later," they said as they went off.

"Going off to make out again," said Mimi.

"I kind of envy them," said Sora, "I wish I had someone to go make out with..."

"Well ya don't, so don't be sad. I don't either," said Joe.

"Yeah, neither do I..." said Mimi. Everyone sighed. Tai and Matt were so lucky...weren't they? Sora looked over toward the door. Aina was sitting with her huge group of populars, and looked like she was getting up. Uh oh.

"I'll be back," said Sora. She got up too.

"Where are YOU going?" asked Izzy.

"To warn Matt and Tai...be back in a second," said Sora. She got out the side door to find Matt and Tai before Aina did...

"What's the matter? You seem tense..." said Tai, rubbing his hands down Matt's back. Matt shook his head.

"Nothing," he said, kissing Tai again. He sucked on Tai's lip a little to be more convincing. He couldn't get it out of his head the way that Aina had looked at him...she looked...mad. It was true that Matt used to hang out with her and her group of friends, but this year he was totally separated from them. He didn't really care though. He had Tai...and that was all that mattered, right? Matt remembered how miserable Aina could make your life if she was mad at you...oh god. How awful...

"Umm...ya tryin' to eat my lips or do you wanna let go so you can breathe?" Tai said. Matt stopped. Tai wiped his mouth. "Are you sure you're okay Yami? You seem kind of detached..."

"I'm...fine..." said Matt. He tried to focus on Tai. He turned around nervously at footsteps. Oh good. It was just Sora.

"Hey guys...I just wanted to tell you that Aina's coming this way...and she looks really pissed. I just thought I'd warn you. Later!" Sora said. She ran off. Matt almost felt relieved.

"Tai...umm...maybe you should go with her...I'll talk to Aina alone," said Matt.

"Why?" asked Tai in a puzzled voice.

"Because I don't want her to know that we're going ou...I mean...oh..." Matt looked at Tai. Tai looked angry, but his eyes were filled with hurt.

"Oh. I see. I don't want to spoil your reputation. I'll see you later then, Yamato," Tai said. He stalked off angrily.

"Wait Tai, I didn't mean..." Matt said just as Aina appeared. Tai walked by her, almost shoving her out of his way.

"Watch it freak! Hey Matt, how's it going?" asked Aina. Her face had changed from a look of anger to a smile. Matt relaxed a little.

"Not good...you caught me at a bad time. Aina, I need to tell you something..." began Matt. The bell rang right then.

"What is it?" she asked. She put a hand on Matt's. Matt felt a little uncomfortable at her touch. Damn it! She just destroyed my courage!

"Umm...never mind," said Matt, shrugging her off. He ran down the hall, hoping to catch up to Tai.

Matt didn't see Tai at all for the rest of the day. Where was he? He wasn't at any of their waiting spots. He felt a sharp pain in his chest, like his heart was being stabbed. Oh Tai, I didn't mean to say that...I didn't mean that at all...I'm so sorry...I still love you with all of my heart...

"Matt, the bell's rung. You can go home now," said his Biology 2 teacher. Matt looked around the room. Everyone was gone. He left too. Tai had already left his own 6th period class. Matt looked for him outside. He saw Izzy. He knew Tai and Izzy had the same 6th period, so he caught Izzy as he walked by.

"Hey Izzy, where's Tai? Did he go home sick?" asked Matt. Izzy looked around quickly.

"I'm technically not supposed to talk to you...but no. He was here. He's been avoiding you. I would suggest staying out of his way until he cools off. That was pretty harsh what you said, Matt. But since I know you're a doofus," Izzy paused to see Matt's reaction. Matt just smiled, "...I know you deserve to be forgiven. And Tai thinks so too. Peace out Matt," said Izzy, leaving Matt alone. He walked off. Matt sighed. He saw Tai walking alone too. He ran to catch up with him.

"Hey...Taichi, stop. I want to apologize..." said Matt catching up to him. Tai turned around. His normally warm brown eyes were cold.

"Fuck off Matt," he said in a nasty tone. Matt was shocked. But...I do deserve that, thought Matt.

"But I'm...really...sorry..." said Matt. He felt his heart being torn to shreds as he saw Tai begin to cry.

"Yeah, well, I'm really hurt and I don't want to talk to you right now, so fuck off. Just go away," said Tai, putting his face in his hands. Matt sighed. He walked past Tai and looked back. Tai was looking after him...that look of pain...it was too much for Matt. He felt a tear slip down his nose.

"I'm going to call you, until you talk to me!" he called out in a hoarse voice. He turned and walked on. Why did they have to fight? They'd never fought before...

Matt gave up calling Tai. There was no answer. Tai must've been screening his calls.

"Tai, I am so sorry..." he said into the darkness as he lay down to go to sleep. "I feel so horrible...please talk to me love..."

At precisely 12:00, Matt's phone rang. He heard his father answer the phone.

"MATT! Tell your friends to call before 10!" he heard him yell. Matt picked up his phone.

"Hello?" he croaked. "I've got it dad!" The person on the other line waited until they heard the click.

"I...I'm sorry too. I'm sorry I didn't answer the phone. I'm sorry I was such a jerk. I don't want to break up with you...please...please stay with me..." Matt heard Tai sobbing. He was awake now.

"No, I should be the one who's sorry. I shouldn't have given a crap what that bitch thinks. I don't care who knows about my sexuality. I'm sorry Tai. I still love you with all my heart..."

"I love you too. I'll see you tomorrow though, okay? It is kinda late..."

Matt couldn't concentrate. He usually did okay in Calculus, but his mind kept wandering to the field trip. Which he was leaving for after this class! Skiing for three days, Tai for three days...

"Matt, come up here please," called Merzuna-san, his Calculus teacher. Matt went over to him.

"Sure. Don't tell the others," said Merzuna-san. Matt nodded. He went back to his desk and took out a sheet of paper. He started writing a note to Tai, for him to read on the bus.

"What'd you say?" asked Matt in shock. Other kids looked up from their tests to stare at their teacher and the student.

"I said...nothing. See me after class for a minute."

"But my field trip..." began Matt.

"It'll only take a minute. Get back to work everyone," said Merzuna-san to everyone else. The minutes flew by. The bell rang. Matt went over to Merzuna-san's desk. Joe frowned at him as he left.

"Tell the bus to wait for me," said Matt as Joe went out. Joe nodded. Matt faced his teacher.

"What is it?" asked Matt.

"Don't distract Tai, Matt. He doesn't need it. Especially from you. He's a very confused boy," said Merzuna-san. Matt was confused. What the hell?

"What? Where did that come from?"

"He's a really great kid, isn't he?" Merzuna-san sighed. Then he glared at Matt again. "Leave. Get out of here. Now."

Matt left, feeling very confused. He went out to the bus. He caught eyes with Aina as he walked over to Tai. He put his arm around Tai and smiled at her. She rolled her eyes and looked away. Tai looked at Matt and grinned at him.

"You are so bad," said Tai, smiling. Matt shrugged.

"I'll show you how bad I can be tonight," he said suggestively. Tai looked interested.

"Oh? You think you're gettin something tonight? Listen..." he began. But he shut up as Yageru-san walked up.

The room was more like a suite! Tai looked around agan in awe. He looked into the bathroom. That explained why the room had so much. The bathroom only had a shower stall, a toilet and a sink. He went back into the room. Matt looked ridiculously adorable in his skiing gear. Tai couldn't help but kiss him on the cheek.

"What was that for?" said Matt, grinning at Tai. Tai pulled on his gloves and snapped down his goggles over his eyes.

"Nothin. Come on, let's go ski before it's too late!" Tai said, dragging Matt to the door. Matt halted.

"Umm...Tai? I'm kind of...bad at skiing. I've never done it before," he said, sounding embarassed. Tai grinned.

"I'll show you! It's easy! Come on Matt!" said Tai, dragging him out the door. Matt closed the door and locked it behind them. Izzy and Joe waved to them from down the hall.

"Come on you slow pokes, let's go!" called Joe. They went down the all the stairs to the basement, where the skiing equipment was. A lady behind the desk looked mildly bored as she handed them their assigned equipment.

"The ski lift closes at 8:30, the slopes are closed at 9:00. Be back before then to return your equipment," she said in a monotone. The four boys went outside and put on their skis. Tai was up and sliding around like he was used to it. Matt clomped around unsteadily. Joe surprised everyone by speeding away to the slopes, while Izzy took baby steps to the bunny slope. Tai followed the unsteady Matt to the novice slope ski lift. They got on the lift and grinned at each other.

"This is gonna be so fun!" said Tai, breathing in the cold air. Matt looked down. Uh oh. It was higher than he thought.

"Uh...I wish Metalgarurumon was here...he could fly me down..." said Matt. Tai looked at him. He jumped up off the seat as they came to the platform. Matt was knocked over on his face as he tried to get off. He raised his head cautiously as the chair went over him. Tai and the lift operator helped him up. Matt looked down the slope.

"Now I really wish he was here..." he murmured. Tai looked down the slope too. He wanted to go on the daredevil hill! This was too boring!

"Do you really? This is nothing compared to the other slope! Just remember to cross your skis to stop," said Tai helpfully. He zoomed down the slope, swerving around people. Matt watched. How did he do that? Matt took a deep breath and started to slide down the slope...hey, this was okay...except...he slammed into another skier. They fell over in the snow.

"Ouch. Are you okay?" asked Matt, dusting the snow off himself. The other skier nodded and went off. Tai was coming down the slope to him...he stopped right in front of Matt. Tai helped Matt up.

"You have. And it doesn't have to be skiing. Where's this daredevil slope?" asked Matt, as they skied to the lift.

"Just stay on the lift and get off at the 2nd platform. Hey, are you sure you want to? That was your first run! And you fell!" said Tai as they got back on the lift. It cranked up.

"Yep."

"We're going past the first platform..." said Tai as they passed it.

"And we have...we're past it. It's official...I'm going down!" said Matt. Tai couldn't help but smile. Matt was being so macho...Matt got off the lift better his second time. They skied to the edge of the slope. Matt's heart sank...maybe he shouldn't compete with Tai...

"Want me to go first?" asked Tai? Matt nodded. Tai took a deep breath and started down the slope...his speed built as he flew through the snow. Matt gulped. "Matt, we're not racing!" called Tai as Matt passed him.

"Are you two going out or something?" called on of their classmates, as Tai wiped off his goggles.

"Yeah," said Tai absently. He looked through the lenses. Good.

"Okay. Just checking!" Everyone resumed their skiing. Matt did a little better each time with his skiing (though he stuck to the novice slope) and it ended too soon. Everyone groaned as Yageru-san handed everyone a worksheet.

"A lab?" whined Joe and Izzy.

"Wanna be my lab partner?" Joe asked. Izzy nodded.

"Ruko's already Aina's partner, so okay," he agreed. Matt and Tai were naturally partners. Everyone returned the ski equipment and went to their rooms to work on the lab. "Okay." Matt got to his hands and knees and put his face right in front of Tai. He looked in interest. Tai was pulsing slightly in anticipation. Matt licked his lips and then the tip...then he placed his mouth over him. He started to suck gently.

"Oh god..." Tai murmured. Matt was encouraged, and sucked a little harder. This wasn't bad...in fact, he liked making Tai moan like that...Tai gave a pathetic sounding whimper. Oh yes! That's the sound that really turned Matt on. He looked up at Tai's face. Tai had his teeth clenched and his eyes were closed. He stopped sucking as he heard Tai crying out his name and his mouth filled with a somewhat salty taste. He pulled off of Tai and spat into his hand. Oh. Of course. He licked off his lips and smiled at Tai. Tai had a crossed look of shock and disgust.

"That...wasn't nasty?" he asked. Matt shook his head.

"Your love tastes sweet," said Matt.

"Is it really?" asked Tai, sitting up completely. He already had his head between Matt's thighs. Matt was shocked as Tai began using his mouth like a Hoover or something. He groaned loudly. Damn. Tai was right. It DID feel really good...he felt the ache and pleasure start to heat him up like a white fire. Oh...just a little harder Tai...just a little longer...and he felt immense relief as he felt himself come. He looked at Tai. Tai was also licking his lips off as he stared at Matt.

"I'd say it's more salty than sweet," said Tai with a grin. Matt smiled. Tai pounced on him playfully and forced him to lay back on the bed.

"It's still your turn," said Tai. He kissed Matt's broad chest gently. Matt smiled and stroked Tai's hair while he kissed him. He licked Matt on the shoulder, and nipped him gently. Matt grunted slightly as he did.

"Was that too hard?" asked Tai, as he started kissing Matt's neck. Matt shook his head. Tai's mouth was wild! He would have to stop or else Matt would have to...Matt pushed Tai away.

"Am I doing something wrong?" Tai said. His face had a look of worry. Matt shook his head.

"No. It's that mouth of yours though. You're wild with it. I'd have to do you if you kissed me like that anymore," said Matt with a grin.

"You sound like that's a bad thing!" said Tai. He was grinning too. Then he looked serious. "I won't then." He sighed as he lay his head on Matt's shoulder and put his arm around him.

"Do you think we were made for each other? Does this seem like the perfect match, or is it just me?" Matt murmured sleepily.

"We were made for each other," said Tai with a yawn. He shivered suddenly from cold. Matt lifted Tai gently pulled the covers out from under him. Then he got off the bed and did the same. He pulled the blankets over them both.

"This field trip has turned out great so far, don't you think?" Matt asked as he put his arm over Tai.

Tai answered him with his soft steady breathing. Then he murmured, "I love you...now go to sleep..."
