"Sora. Sora." It was T.K. "(yawn) What are you doing up so early, T.K.?" Sora asked groggily. "What do you meen? It's like lunch-time already. Boy, you must of been real tired." T.K. replied. "Yeah, I guess I was. Did I have a weird dream though! It was-" "Have you seen Matt by any chance?" T.K. interrrupted, "He hasn't been around at all today!" "Huh!" Sora said, "You meen....it was....real?" She stuttered. "What was real?" T.K. asked. "What? Oh, nothing! Nothing at all." Sora said, getting out of her snug bed of large leaves. "Has Tai made a search party yet?" Sora asked. "Well, I'm sure he would, but...." T.K. let his words drift off as he pointed across the clearing to a sleeping figure of Tai. Augumon was struggling to get him up. "Come on, Tai!" Augumon said, "You have to get up now." "I don't wanna go to school today, mommy. All the kids laugh at my(snore)big hair(snore)." Augumon finally stopped pushing. "Sorry Tai," He said, "but remember, you forced me to do this." "Whatever." Tai mumbled. "I can't watch!" Mimi said, overhearing the struggle. It was pretty clear what Augumon was going to do. "Pepper Breath! Poi!" Augumon yelled. "YEEEEOOOOUUUCCCHHH!" Came a firery yell from Tai. "WATER! WATER!" He kept yelling as he ran around holding his blazing shorts. He was in a frenzy! "Stop, drop, and roll, Tai!" Joe was yelling at him. Tai started zeroing in on Joe in pain. "Wait! Hold it! I said STOP, drop, and roll! Not chase me and scream!" Joe yelled as he ran from Tai. But Tai was more athletic, and finally stumbled onto Joe. "Marching Fishes!" Gomamon yelled. Out of nowhere five fishes squirted water onto Tai's rump, which was by this time roast.(Author humor) "Oooh." Joe groaned, sounding as if he were going to pass out, "Tai, will you please get off me!" But Joe managed to drag himself out from under the smoking form of Tai. Augumon hurridly came up and started blowing at Tai's smoking shorts, which had a big black burned spot on them. When Tai recovered, he set to smacking around Augumon, and making him do a lot of unnecesary stuff. "Back to normal at last!" Kari said joyfully. "I sure hope we won't have to be doing this alot." Joe moaned.
Meanwhile......
Matt had found a place to sleep for the night, and had just woken. He blinked to try and get the sleep out of him. He sat up and looked at the trees around him. He heard a rustling in one of the bushes. "Who's there!" Matt demanded. "Oh, just little ol' furry me." Came the response. Matt put his fists down as he saw Gabumon step out of the bush. "Man, am I glad to see you!" Matt said, hugging the digimon. He pulled away to ask, "So how'd you find me?" Matt asked. "Let's just say my nose knows." Gabumon said sheepishly, "And since it does, we can go back now!" Matt hesistated. Gabumon noticed this. "Don't you want to go back?" Gabumon asked. "Well," Matt began, "part of me does, but the other part doesn't. Do you understand?" Gabumon nodded. "I suppose we could scout for the camp?" Gabumon suggested. Matt used it as an excuse and they started wandering around. Gabumon, however, was following their scent back to the camp just in case Matt changed his mind. "Gabumon," Matt started, "have you ever...cared for someone?" Gabumon knew instantly what Matt was talking about. Gabumon was glad that Matt trusted him, even though he'd told Gomamon, but Gomamon would never tell anyone that Matt liked Sora. "Not really, but I think you do." Gabumon replied. Matt stopped and rubbed his neck. He'd never really talked about anything this personal before to anyone, so he was trying to find the right words. He decided on just telling what came to his mind when he thought of Sora, and sort it out later. "Gabumon, I really like Sora." He finally blurted out. Gabumon slightly smiled. "Ever since I've become more aquainted to her, she seems to be, well, ideal for me. All my life, pretty teenie boppers have worshipped the ground I walk on! But Sora isn't like that! She's caring, compassoinate, athletic! And for some reason, I like that she doesn't worship me like a god 24 hours a day! Am I babbling on like an idiot or what?" "No Matt," Gabumon responded, "You're babbling on like a person in love." Matt smiled warmly at Gabumon. Gaumon returned the smile. "Come on! Let's keep heading towards camp!" Matt said. Gabumon was astonished. "How'd you ever guess?" He asked. "Oh please, Gabumon? You are way too predictable!" Matt said, starting to walk away. Gabumon just smiled then ran to Matt's side.
Still at the camp......
Tai ate his fish, all the while staring in Sora's direction. 'If only she'd think of me as more than just a good soccer player and friend!' Tai thought to himself. "Tai," Augumon said, "do you always like to burn your hand in the morning?" "Huh?" Tai looked at the hand holding his fish. It was in the fire! "OUCH!" He yelled, pulling his hand from the flames. Tai threw off the burning glove, and started stomping his foot on it, trying to kill the flame. His glove got a burnt black spot on it to match Tai's pants. "Oh man! My favorite pair too!" Tai moaned. "Maybe if you'd start paying more attention to your actions, this wouldn't happen." Joe said, annoyed. Tai picked up his glove and put it on. He then turned around and stormed out of camp. "Wait up, Tai!" Called Augumon. "Great! Now we'll lose two members of the group!" Mimi whined. Tai ran out a ways then stopped. Augumon came up to him, huffing and puffing a bit from running after Tai. "What's up Tai?" He asked. "You wouldn't understand!" Tai told him. Augumon looked a little depressed. 'How come Tai won't open up to me? Mimi tells Palmon stuff. Same with Gomamon and Joe! Why won't Tai tell me anything?' Augumon thought to himself. "Oh, I suppose you can at least listen, even though you probably won't understand!" Tai yelled, seeing the disappointed look on Augumon's face. Augumon perked up a bit, and went to sit by Tai on a log. "Agumon, have you ever...liked someone?" Tai asked. Augumon gave a sly smile. He knew Tai would have to confess his feelings sooner or later. He'd seen how Tai had looked at Sora. He'd never told anyone, well except Palmon, but she'd never tell anyone. "Tai, do you like someone?" Augumon asked. "No! Of course not! I was just asking you!" Tai yelled panicking. "Come on, Tai! You can tell me these things." Augumon pleaded. "Okay! So I like Sora! Big deal!" Tai yelled again. Augumon put his sly smile back on. "Why do you like her, Tai?" He asked. Tai thought for a minute, then answered, "Because she's pretty. Mimi's pretty too, but Sora stands out because her and I like the same things. Like soccer, and um....um....can I get back to you on that?" Tai replied. There was suddenly a loud CRASH and yelling from the campsite. "Uh oh! Sound's like trouble! And I didn't didn't do it, so that means it's a digimon. Digivolve Augumon!" "Augumon digivolve to....Greymon!" Greymon took off for the campsite with Tai on his back. They arrived just in time to see the evil digimon knock down Togemon. "Who is it?" Someone had asked. Tai heard a faint clicking, then an answer from Izzy no doubt. "It's Cocomon! He looks like a huge coconut, but the milk he has is actually acid! His shell protects him from damage!" All the other kids were by a large tree, where Tai joined them.Greymon joined the other digimon fighting. "Get'm Greymon!" Tai shouted. "Coco Acid!" Cocomon yelled. A white liquid shot out from various holes in his body. It hit all the digimon, forcing them to dedigivolve to their rookie forms. "This isn't good!" Joe said, as Cocomon approached. "Coco Cage!" He yelled. The same white substance shot out from various holes in his shell. Tai immediatly put himself in front of Kari, and Sora did the same for T.K. The liquid stopped just above them, and formed a cage around them. It also put a cage around all the digimon. "Hey! Let us go!" Kari yelled. "You have no idea how lucky you are!" Cocomon responded, picking up both cages. It was a wobbly ride. "Look you! I get dizzy easily and if you want this white stuff to stay white, you better stop tossing and turning us every which way!" Joe yelled. "Joe, if you're going to throw up, get away from me!" Mimi squealed. The ride didn't get any better, and no one knew where they were going.
In the forest.....
"Did you hear anything?" Gabumon asked. "You mean you heard it too?" Matt asked. They looked at each other, and then started running towards the sound. They hopped a bush and found themselves in a clearing. They scanned the area. Matt spotted the ashes of a fire. "This must be the campsite!" He cheered, "But where is everyone?" They looked around some more. Then Gabumon chanced upon some strange white substance. "What is it?" Matt asked. "Don't know." Gabumon replied, "But it leads in that direction." Gabumon pointed to a trail of white leading off into the forest. "Look at those trees! They've been bent by something big!" Matt noticed. Gabumon gulped real big, but started following Matt, who was following the white goo.
Many hours later........
"Is it me, or have we been walking for like hours?" Matt moaned. Gabumon didn't answer. They walked on. They were walking as usual, when Gabumon ran smack into something. "Ouch!" He exclaimed. Matt and him had hardly noticed the moss covered house in their tiredness. "Wow! Can we say 1-800-FLOWERS!" Matt commented sarcastically. "What's that?" Gabumon asked, rubbing his head as he got up. Matt didn't answer. He was looking for some sort of entrance. Gabumon spied a window about two stories up. "Great! How will we get up there?" Matt asked. "Can you climb?" Gabumon asked. Matt gave him a puzzled look, then followed his gaze up a nearby tree that was right by the window. Matt smiled and responded, "Did the early bird get the worm? Let's go!" Gabumon halted. 'Early bird? These kids are really out of it sometimes.' Gabumon thought. They climbed the tree and entered the house.
Meanwhile, in the strange house.......
Sora opened her eyes. She looked around her. She saw eight cages by one wall, and eight others opposite. She tried to get up, but was somehow being restrained. She saw some sort of orange beam around her hands and feet. 'How come it always happens to me?' She thought. "Ah! You're awake my dear!" Said a crackly voice. A figure appeared over her. It had the head of a Vademon but the body of a human. "I am Viromon. I specialize in machines that torture and kill. But I made an exception in your case." Viromon said. "I feel so honored." Sora said sarcastically, "What do you plan on doing to me?" "The same thing Datamon tried to do, make a copy!" Viromon said with an evil tone. "Why?" Sora asked. "As you'll see, one of you brats is missing from my collection. And to get my reward from Piedmon, I have to have the complete set. Gotta' catch 'em all you know!" Viromon told her. "So you're working for Piedmon!" Sora said. "That's of no concern to you! Now hold still. This won't hurt....much." Viromon said with an evil grin. Another orange beam went over Sora's body. As it scanned Sora, a duplicate was being made on another table. "It's done!" Viromon shouted for joy, "Now all I have to do is lure the last pathetic child to my clutches, and Piedmon will have won!" Sora felt exhausted for some reason. "You'll be awfully weak my dear, since the copy took every bit of you and turned it evil!" Viromon said, "Since I won't be needing the original any longer, I can just throw you to my dear sweet pet, Gobblemon." Viromon snapped his fingers, and Cocomon came and took Sora away. "Who's.....Gobblemon?" Sora barely managed. Cocomon smiled evily down at her. "He feeds only on other digimon. But he likes to try different things now and again. He'll eat your digimon after he devours you! Ha ha ha ha!" Cocomon laughed. 'Great! How am I going to get out of this one?' Sora thought to herself. They entered the room where Gobblemon would be. There was a narrow bridge across the room. Cocomon took her to the middle of the bridge. Sora looked down and saw the ugliest creature she'd ever seen! If you thought Raremon was bad, he was practically an appetizer to this guy, literally! Gobblemon looked like a big oozing puddle of garbage and nasty thing all in one! Sora groaned. Cocomon held her out from the bridge. "1.......2......"
