E
MUZEKI

OH,
MYGODDESS!!!

Just as we were about to
LEAVE the Tex Ren Fest,
Jodi and I were captured
by the sound of
this group playing
INCREDIBLE MUSIC
outside the coffee house
near the main gate.

They were
TOO WONDERFUL
for words!
We each have their CD now – it’s FANTASTIC – and
I’ve been to their website: E MUZEKI
Although the PERSONAL info provided about them
online & in the CD book is … sketchy (at best!),
this “blurb” from their website accurately and dramatically
describes the essential nature their marvelous music:

Below is Jenny O’Connor. She plays guitar, bass, violin, tambourine and drum.
Even if I weren’t WOWed by her impressive musical skills, the Batik work she does would still make me GAGA. Jenny designed the Batik and lettering featured on their CD & website. Thus, I suspect that she also did the Batik of their costumes – which were gorgeous. She may even have MADE the fantastic clothing they wore.(Yes. I’ve decided that I quite HATE her! LOL!)

I’m reasonably certain
that this is Mark Varelas.

Mark & Jenny appear to be
the “core” members of
E MUZEKI.
(They’re the only ones clearly
identified on the website and
in the CD book.)

Mark plays guitar, mandolin, bass,
penny whistle, and the accordion(!).

However, his primary instrument
is the bouzouki.

The bouzouki is a Greek long-necked lute –
the instrument responsible for the
traditional Greek “sound.”

This is
Alejandro Cuellar

Although he’s in at least one
of the pix I stole from the
E MUZEKI website (below)
I couldn’t find his
NAME anywhere!

So, I Emailed Jenny &
she supplied it.

He was playing bass with them
at the TRF, and performs on
a couple of the CD tracks.

Pix from the E MUZEKI website.

If you enjoy Celtic (and Greek and Gypsy and Flamenco) music,
you definitely will luv E MUZEKI’s CD; “MAVRA MATIA”
Go to their WEBSITE and BUY it. (It’s a mere 15 bucks!)

After 5 ˝ hours at the Faire, a couple o’ the kidz were tired, and a bit cranky
about Jodi & I wanting to stay and listen to E Muzeki’s performance.
But, HEY!

This was pretty much the ONLY THING that Jodi & I got to do at the whole faire!

We’d been catering to kidz’ needs the whole day – which we ENJOYED! (Really!)

But, we weren’t about to let them budge us from enjoying this fantastic performance.

AND!!!

I was able to
get one more
GREAT
Berry
Booby

shot o’
Jodi!!!

(Put your MOUSE
on the pic!)
