This is a beautiful old park located on the edge of Cross Plains. The creek that runs through it is call Turkey Creek. It has area for people traveling to pull off and enjoy a cool place to rest. In the early 90's a tornado had destroyed alot of the big old Oaks & Pecan trees. It still left a lot of trees untouched. The area is still well cover in trees. They would hold the Old Settler Reunion there ever year. I've heard that they are thinking about starting it back up.

They had Barbeque's, music and dancing. If I remember right it went on all day and well into the night. From the car and the ladies dressies this could of been taken in the 30's or 40's.
