Digimortal - 2001
Wow. This is definetly my favorite CD in my entire
collection. Burton C. Bell has extremely impressive
singing skills. The way he can switch from scream that
sounds like it came straight outta hell, to a melodic,
if not calming, vocal piece. His voice alone can have
you hooked onto a song. Raymond Hererra (drums)can,
and will, kick your ass repeatedly with his drum kit.
He kicks bass drum beats so blisteringly fast, it'll
leave you with swollen testicles, while you're on your
knees cryin' to momma. Agian speed is the key with
bass player Christian Olde Wolburs. He has a LOT of
influence on my bass playing. His key to the band is
supporting the raw heaviness of each song, and he does
it well. Dino Cezares is the best guitar player in the
world. Going from low frets to 10 frets higher is not
easy, AT ALL. He has much, MUCH, of my respect.
The best thing about this album is that, even if it
isn't the coolest song on the album, its got a cool
part. The album pretty much follows up the past
records with thier apocolyptic, man vs. machine,
strain vs. resistance (<--track title), themes. Please
, AND I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, go buy this CD. You
will not regret it.
