Unleashed Memories - 2001
I was definitely expecting something different from this Italian sextet. I honestly bought the album for one song, which I had heard called “To Live is to Hide,” which was song that really blew me away when I heard it, the vocals were beautiful, the guitar was heavy, and the drums were had a powerful double bass part, and this one song has yet to get boring (the song is why I raised the rating at least 1 skull), but it’s that one song! The rest of the CD has got a few “good” parts, but overall the album is boring, the vocals never reach the excellence of their second track “To Live is to Hide.” The guitars are average the drums are regular and the vocals don’t seem to go anywhere. I have to admit she has a pretty voice but the songs just never allow her vocals to flourish as they did on that one song. All in all the album is slow (and not in a cool doom metal kind of way), boring, and I think they could have done much better. I’d recommend this particular album to someone into pop/alternative Sarah McGlocklin(don’t how spell her name) type music, but not someone into metal or hard rock or even goth. This band can and has done better.
