SURVIVOR!!! Let me start by saying "I'M A SURVIVOR!!!!!!!!!!"
I was diagnosed, at age 31, on 06/19/2000 with ES of the left femur after being
misdiagnosed for almost 1 1/2 years. They thought I pulled my groin muscle
after jumping on a trampolene in April of 1999. Then, they thought it was
a stress fracture. After a bone biopsy, the truth comes out. I had a
partial hip replacement on 11/09/2000. After 8 rounds of chemo and 25?
rounds of radiation, I'm back in the saddle, literally! I had to give up
softball, and volleyball, but they couldn't keep me off of my horse! 7
months after surgery, and 4 months after my last round of chemo, I went into a
horseshow and placed 1st in some of my classes! My doctors weren't too
happy, but I was! I met my, now, husband in February of 2000. He
proposed to me the night before my first round of chemo and we were married on
August 4th 2001. He stuck by me through this whole thing! He is
the best thing that has ever happened to me! We have a dog, Mercedes, 3
cats, Banjo, Boots, and Taz, and my horse Rae Anne! We are in the process
of trying to have children, but that darn radiation isn't being very nice to my
ovary! I had one taken out before chemo started, just in case, and it
looks like we might need to use it.

Fabian
Fabian was diagnosed with Ewings sarcoma in August of 2003. He is currently undergoing Chemo at Sloan Kettering in NY. This is a picture taken a few months before the diagnoses, with me, his girlfriend. We were having one last "fun day" before I started law school. The tumor and the cancer is table but not shrinking, but we all still have hope that got will answer our prayers and grant us a miracle. I am now looking into alternative treatments in case the treatment continues to not produce results and deteriorate his body further. He has lost 50 pounds since that picture and his family and mine are looking for any answers or tips to aid in his fight. Please email me with any ideas.

Gary (Our Angel on Earth)
Hello All: My name is Gary Suboter of TAKE MY HAND a project of the Cure Our Children Foundation; a non profit, 501 C-3 organization. www.cureourchildren.org We work with Barry Sugarman as a support for parents and children in treatment for Ewings Sarcoma cancer. We assist in the areas of patient and parent advocacy in family life issues. In most cases, just doing whatever needs to be done to keep the family together while battling this disease; household budgeting, bills, negotiating payments, providing some help with payments, finding community resources in repairing cars, groceries, clothing, and in general, whatever needs to be done to keep the family focused on the child or adult with cancer and away from the financial demands of day to day living.

Hope
SURVIVOR!!! The tumors in my legs and neck are completely gone. The
tumor in my arm (which is the origination of the story) is shrunk by leaps and
bounds, so surgery is a resounding - GO! And no for the agony, the cancer
has spread to my lungs (well, one lung). So now we have a new story to
begin (I guess we will call this volume 12.857,458,928). About the pictures:
