Character History:

Marlon, born billy plover, grew up in the south, mostly memphis and little rock, though his poor family moved a lot, from trailer park to trailer park. billy got in a lot of fights as a kid, and even ran with some gangs. he never got a police record though, becaue in cities like memphis and little rock, the police have more to worry about than punk kids. billy was very perceptive and street smart, even as a child. he entered the army right out of high school, though, which kept him from entering college and getting more book learning. marlon went from infantry rifleman to army ranger as fast as he could. he took any cross training they would give him, be it marines, air force, or navy. billy was very good at covert ops and wetwork, and caught the eye of the CIA upon discharge from the army. cia training damn near drove him crazy, with all of the backstabbing and doubletiming.. but they kept sending him out in the field, to infiltrate certain underworld groups. he took the name 'the shank' to let people know he meant business, and took to carrying blades wherever he went, to prove his points. after successfully infiltrating and destroying several small criminal organizations across the country, marlon was reassigned to territory he knew well, in the form of the streets of memphis. before marlon was even well established, he was asked to come to a meeting with the head of 'the family' in that area. he met the man, an enigmatic man of whom the cia knew little, one fateful night in june of 1987. the man, named rafael, seemed to know every answer marlon was going to give before he gave it.. he refused to stop smirking and giggling, and marlon knew it was all over.. then rafael lept over the desk and took marlon to the other side. marlon has since tried to get over his paranoia, but been unable. the only way he comes close to trusting someone is if they r bound to him.. even then, he tries to keep his back to the wall. marlon knows the cia is still after him, they think he turned to the dark side.
