Interview with Scott Humphrey of Millionaire.Toeth: How was the trip on the way getting to New York for the show? Scott: Uneventful. Really liked the limo driver. First time I've ever been met at the airport with someone holding my name :) Toeth: Have you ever done any Game Shows prior to Millionaire? Scott: No. I've never been on TV (except for small clips) or on the stage. Still trying to overcome fear of public speaking. However, now I have the bug and will pursue any opportunities available. (I have to take the J! test and see how it goes) Toeth: Sorry to see you leave the show with no winnings, I hear you are trying to challenge your possibly flawed $1,000 Question? Scott: Yes. While I do not dispute the fact that their answer was correct, I have made the case that there was another correct answer (invalid distractor). The first appeal was denied by the legal dept. I am awaiting a decision from Ms. Hampton on my 2nd appeal. Toeth: How was Meredtih as host in your opinion? Scott: Loved her!!! Only wish I was wearing a white uniform too :) Holding her hand while we walked to the HS and having her call me "Loverboy" has helped to ease the sting of how my appearence ended. Toeth: If you had the choice, ABC calls you to ask which version of Millionaire you would rather do. Choices are Primetime Millionaire, and Syndicated. Primetime has a Fastest Finger, Regis, and easier Questions. On the other hand, Syndicated Millionaire has no "Fastest Finger" guaranteed Hotseat, Meredith, but harder Questions. Toeth: Which would you choose and why? Scott: No contest. I'd rather do the syndie version. I know I missed my odd question, but have not really had any problem playing he other stacks. Too much stress with FF on the PT show. (I'm a grandfather, speed could be a problem) Toeth: If all goes well, and you do get a restart in the Hotseat, will you have any changes in your strategy? Oh yes!!! LOL. If it was to happen, (the appeal or a zero winner show) I would play much slower and verbalize my thought process. Its too easy to get carried away in the HS. I would also question ANYTHING that looked odd in a question. Toeth: Those are the Questions. Thank you for taking time to do the Interview! Scott: Thanks for your interest in my appearance. On 5/28/03 Scott was brought back for the $0 Winners special, and won $1,000. |
