This contract is entered into between Sandra L. Hanes, hereinafter known as SELLER,

BUYER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:
If BUYER cannot retain ownership of said kitten/cat, SELLER WILL BE
GIVEN THE RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL. This remains in effect for the entire life of said
kitten/cat. If for any reason BUYER wishes to return/exchange said kitten/cat
(except health) upon receipt, replacement will be only at the discretion of SELLER.
BUYER pays all shipping expenses. All attempts will be made to deliver a healthy
kitten/cat to BUYER. No known sick animal will ever be sold to any buyer. All
kittens/cats come with a two-year genetic/congenital health guarantee. If said kitten/cat
is found, by a veterinarian, to have a life-threatening genetic/congenital defect,
another kitten/cat will be provided as soon as available. If said kitten should die from FIP
before the age of two, another kitten/cat will be provided as soon as available. There are no cash refunds.
BUYER will obtain SELLER's permission before selling or leasing an unaltered cat (from
this Cattery) to any other party for breeding purposes. No kitten/cat from this Cattery
will be abandoned, sold or given to an animal shelter, pet store, or laboratory for
experimental purposes. UPON RECEIPT OF SAID KITTEN/CAT, BUYER WILL TAKE
IT TO A QUALIFIED VETERINARIAN WITHIN 48 HOURS OF PURCHASE TO CONFIRM HEALTH.
Said kitten/cat will not be denied needed veterinary attention. If BUYER is
unsure whether or not said kitten/cat is in need of medical services, a veterinarian will
be contacted, the situation explained, and the veterinarian's advice will be followed.
Said kitten/cat WILL NOT BE ALLOWED OUTSIDE except on a leash and harness
(under close supervision) or in a completely enclosed run.
Said kitten/cat WILL NOT BE DECLAWED. Declawing is NOT a
simple removal of the claw or toe nail, it is AMPUTATION OF THE FIRST JOINT!!!

Said kitten/cat will receive a weekly bath, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. Sphynx
produce skin oil that when left unattended can cause skin irritation and ear infections.
Dirt clings to the oil, so a dirty cat will soil your furniture.
Said kitten/cat will receive frequent and kind human attention. Gentle play makes a
loving and gentle animal. Rough play creates MONSTERS! Said kitten/cat will be
given the proper diet in the proper amount and will have plenty of fresh water available
at all times. We recommend free-feeding a high-protein dry food such as PHD, as well as, raw food as provided in Nature's Variety Raw Food.
Deposits on kittens/cats are non-refundable. In the unlikely event said kitten/cat
should expire prior to receipt, another kitten/cat will be given as soon as available. If
BUYER violates any of the terms of this contract, BUYER shall be liable to
SELLER for damages in the amount of the purchase price of said kitten/cat, plus
cost of litigation. This document is legally binding and the laws of the state of Texas
shall be controlling. BUYER's signature indicates full agreement and approval of
all terms and conditions of this contract.
Kittens/cats sold for show/breeding will only be bred to show-quality, championed,
purebred Sphynx cats. No out-crossing is allowed without the written permission of SELLER.
No offspring from said kitten/cat will be sold unaltered without the written consent of
SELLER. Said kitten/cat will obtain the status of Grand Champion in The International
Cat Association (TICA) before any breeding will be consented to. Kittens sold as show-quality
are guaranteed able to reach the title of Grand Champion, if campaigned properly. If after proper
campaigning said kitten/cat cannot obtain the title of Grand Champion, SELLER and BUYER will come to a
mutually agreed upon settlement. No female will be bred prior to nine (9) months of age.
Said kitten/cat will have registration papers, pedigree, and shot records provided
at the time of purchase.
Kittens/cats in a single-cat household will be vaccinated annually or will see a
veterinarian for a blood titer. Kittens/cats to be shown, or in multi-cat
households should be vaccinated at 6-month intervals, or seen by a veterinarian
for a blood titer. We recommend only using a 4-way vaccine and not vaccinating for FeLV,
FIV, and FIP. Vaccinating for FeLV, FIV, FIP and Ringworm voids any health guarantees
expressed or implied by this contract.
Said kitten/cat is, to the best of SELLER's knowledge, healthy at the time
of sale and has had the appropriate vaccinations as stated in health certificate, and
shot records provided at the time of purchase. SELLER is not responsible for
injury, illness, loss, or death caused by or during shipping.
Said kitten/cat will leave this Cattery freshly bathed and clean.
Said kitten/cat has been hand-raised under-foot. Said kitten/cat has never been
abused or neglected. Said kitten/cat has never been left without food or water.
All cats in our Cattery are tested for FeLV,and FIV annually. Therefore, SELLER
guarantees said kitten/cat to be FeLV, and FIV negative at the time of purchase.
It is understood that degrees of hairlessness in Sphynx vary from cat to cat and
that no feline is completely hairless. It is also understood that hormones and genetics
play an important role in hairlessness. Even though a Sphynx kitten is hairless or
almost hairless when purchased, it is possible that said kitten could develop some hair
as it grows older. It is impossible to guarantee that any Sphynx kitten/cat will not
grow some hair at some point in the future.
