CIRCLE OFFENSE Start in a 1-2-2 set. 1 can pass to either 2 or 3. 1 passes to 2. The ballside post (5) moves across the lane to set a double screen with 4. 1 makes a basket cut. 3 cuts hard straight to the ball, when he reaches the middle of the free throw line he pops up to the top of the key. |

1 moves around the double screen to the left wing looking for a pass grom 3. After 1 moves around the double screen, the post on the bottom of the double screen (4) curls across the lane by going top side of the other post |

If the defense is trailing 1, then 1 curls around the double screen looking for a pass from 3. After 1 moves past the double screen and 4 sees 1 making a curl cut then 4 pops out to the wing. |

If the defense beats 1 over the double screen 1 reverses directions and cuts to the basket. |

Once we are back at a 1-2-2 set we move into our three post continuity. |

A variation of the offense is for 1 to pass to 2 then move behind 2 and receive a hand-off then 2 makes the basket cut. The offense is the same thereafter. |

The is a "PLAY" out of the Circle Offense called "CIRCLE WIDE". 1 passes to 2. 1 will hesitate a count before making his basket cut. 4 and 5 move out to set a double screen on 3. 3 cuts off the double screen and if he is open can move to the open spot to receive the ball, if not he moves to the middle of the free throw line and pops to the top of the key. 4 and 5 stay at the three point line. 2 passes to 3. |

2 in the case is your best three point shooter and is spotted up behind the three point line. 3 dribbles the ball hard straight to the double screen, 1 curls around the double screen to receive a hand-off from 3. 1 then attempts to penetrate to the basket for the shot or the pass to 2 spotted up behind the three point line. |
