Lafayette, Louisiana

Coleen and I had front row for the show on opposite sides of the venue. Brendaly was in row B behind me (Kev's side) and Krik was row B behind Coleen. But the front row didn't fill up so before the lights went out, Brendaly was right up beside me. *G*

Da Boyz opened with "Tonight". We knew John wouldn't be there because his wife was having a baby, but it was still strange seeing only 4 'Pella's on the stage. This was the first time I haven't seen the whole group, but it didn't deter me from having a great time.

Da Boyz seemed to be in great moods as evidenced by Jeff "goosing" Scott soon after they hit the stage. And how sexy is it to hear Jeff's heartbeat during the silent break in "Tonight"??? OMG!

*in an effort to conserve time and space, I'm going to skip the "routine" stuff and fill you in on the funny/new stuff*

"Moments of You" *warning-Nauseating "Stage Love" moment coming up...* During this song, Kev looked at me and gave me that wrinkled-nose-tongue-out grin that he does so well. I love him. And Jeff...Dear LORD that boy. He was giving us this hip wiggle pelvic thrust thing that well...I'm not sure Krik remembers anything else about the show.*G*

Scott: "It's great to be here in Acadiana. I did not know that the word Cajun comes from Acadiana. Rockapella is one less tonight. Usually we have five guys up here, but John Brown our newest member could not be here because he's giving birth as we speak...Well, I hope HE'S not giving birth, but his wife is.

"Off My Mind"

"Dancin' In The Street"

"Stand By Me" - No offense meant to John in the least, but I REALLY love Scott singing lead on this. Gorgeous!

"Use Me" - Scott gave the pitch and Jeff started, but I think he started a bit high. Had to stop and ask for the pitch again. Even an imperfect Jeff blows everyone else away. *G* The "Dance" could've used John, but it was STILL loads of fun!

Kev talked about having trouble getting to Lafayette due to the weather. Their flight was diverted to another airport, etc. But everyone was so helpful in getting them to the venue on time. "The hospitality was just...unbelievable. Don Johnson...THE Don Johnson (not really. *G*) picked us up. And I'm looking forward to the crawfish tonight (growls). And yes, I DO enjoy sucking out the head." *Um...KEVIN??? *G* "I see you people going, 'That's GROSS!' And the 'blackened meat" thing is a misnomer. Y'all don't do that here? *imitating Justin Wilson* "I guar-an-tee I'll be having some crawfish tonight. That cajun cook. What's his name?" *audience yells JUSTIN WILSON* Kev: "I knew you would know it. But we came from Florida today and the weather was beautiful...from the OTHER airport. But I have to say that the road must have taken FOREVER to build over that swamp. Fighting off alligators.

Segue into the "white beaches/speedo speech". I believe Kev got a bit long winded here because Jeff kept taking these huge breaths to make the ocean sound...then finally just...quit. *G* A woman admitted she wore a speedo in red "to atract the crawfish". Scott helped her out by informing us that a speedo was no necessarily just the bottom part. *G*

"Under The Boardwalk" - IMO, this is Kev's best song. He does such an AWESOME job. Perfect for his voice. And no "shark" this time from Jeff, but it seems that the sand he's shoveling is getting heavier everytime they perform this song. During the song, a young man in the front row decided to get up for some reason and as he was walking Kev was walking right beside him. The guy was watching Kevin instead of where he was going and ran right into another man on the front row. Leave it to Kevin to stir up trouble.*G*

"Here Comes The Sun" - George sounded especially LOW and so hot on this song. He mentioned it later to us: "Don't y'all think I sounded extra-low on that one?" Uh HUH!

"A Change in My Life" - In John's absence, Scott took over the part singing behind Kevin and I must say, it was absolutely GORGEOUS! But then again, isn't everything that man does GORGEOUS? *G* Yeah, I'm biased. *G*

"Up A Lazy River" - again, Scott covers for John and does nicely, although a couple of times he actually "forgot" to sing the part and almost missed it. Which caused them to get tickled just a bit. But no major train wreck.

"Small World" - The "robots" just keep getting funnier every time I see this. This is a rockin' song! Scott: "Three of us worked at Disney and Jeff shopped at the Disney Store..."

"Rockapella's Greatest Hit"

"Long Cool Woman" - Kev was alone in backing up Scott, but he looked SO cute!

Kev goes out to pick the "Beg Girl" of the evening, Lisa. When Kev asked her what she did for a living, she told him she was a nurse. Kev: "Cough, cough. Oh Lisa. I'm feeling a little ill. Maybe you can help me out and prescribe me...a pill."

"Ain't Too Proud To Beg" - I think my favorite part of this song is when Scott is singing, "Don't you know" and shakes his finger, then his head...then his hips. Hum-in-A! *G*

"People Change" was beautiful. It's been little while since I've heard this one. I remember why I love Scott so much. He's amazing!

Next George gets up and talks about how he used to "sing like those girls" and gives his little "milk..the chocolate kind, of course", talk.

"Papa Was a Rolling Stone"

"Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego" - Okay apparently "someone" called Jeff and told him that he'd been doing the same solo for long enough and needed to step it up a bit. I am told that Jeff responded with "What? Are you challenging me?" Well, he was UP for the challenge because his "new" solo totally ROCKS! Even adds a bit of singing/VP together. Yowsa!!!

Back out for "Up On The Roof/Wonderful World" - Beautiful as always.

"Zombie Jamboree" - Since George had noone to "back to back" with, he just kinda danced around in a circle. What a darlin'! Kev injured his tibia bone again and at the end was yelling for "Lisa!!" *G*

And so ended another great performance by Rockapella!
