Inside each heart
There is a light
Waiting to shine
When the moment comes
And through my life
You have stood by me,
Like a brother,
Giving comfort and guidance
That only I can see
You see me as a sister
A close friend of the sort
But do you no other feelings
For this sister of yours?
I have loved you from the beginning,
Your smile, your warmth, your tears.
You are the one true person,
The one my heart opened to.
Do you not see
The love I have for you?
Or am I just a friend
You have so often referred me to
You have grew so distant
From the day I confessed
As if we were strangers,
Strangers in distress
I question myself
Was it wise to express my love?
I never dreamed of hurting you
If that is what I have caused
Our friendship seem to have ended,
Something I hate to loose
Till the day we can meet again
Upon a shooting star I wish
