SAT JUNE 29th: Southern Cruisers River Ride ride leaders = Barry Brown (SCRC Members) We will meet at the McDonalds off of I-70 and Mt. Comfort Road (Indy far-east side) and stands go up at 10:00 a.m. This is an ALL DAY ride. The route is approximately 250 miles (7 hours) round trip from the starting point. The McDonalds has a large truck lot behind it. We can gather there. From Mt. Comfort, we will head down to highway 52 and East to highway 9. South to Shelbyville, where we will catch I-74. We'll travel on 74 for a total of 19 miles each way. I've added this stretch of interstate to save a little time. The sooner we get away from the city, the longer we can enjoy the river and the countryside. I-74 is actually a pretty easy ride---not your typical I-70 or I-65. There are planned stops at least every hour. The first stop will be in Greensburg at the BP at the corner of highway 421 and the Indiana 3 by-pass. We'll ride through Greensburg and pick up highway 46 East to highway 129. South to highway 350, where we will stop for lunch in Milan, IN. Ever seen the movie "Hoosiers?" Lunch will be at a restaurant called "The Reservation," named after the high school mascot and complete with Tepee (the Indian. get it?). I haven't had the pleasure of eating there, but by the number of cars in the parking lot, I'd say they must be on to something. From there, it's down to the mighty Ohio River. We'll head West from Aurora to Madison (planned stops along the way). From Madison, up highway 421 alongside the Jefferson Proving Grounds to Versailles and back up through Greensburg. Total distance from starting point, approximately 250 miles. Everyone should be home (depending on where you live) around 5-5:30 (more or less). I'll post some more details in the next day or two, along with an e-mail to the club for those that may not be checking the forum for their ride information. In the meantime, shoot me an e-mail if any questions. Hope to see you all there! Dingo@sa750.com

SUN SEPT 22nd: PUMPKIN HEAD Ride to Peru, IN This started as a plan for some Road Star guys from the Road Star Forum to get together. Everyone is welcome as we dont descrimminate!!! {g} So if you are interested, email me at toddlci@aol.com as I am heading up to Peru from Indianapolis. You can contact Eric as described below if you are coming from the north.
Sorry for the late notice as this informal get-together has grown a little.
It would be awesome if some of you guys could make it!

The truck stop is on US 31 just north of the US 24 exit on the northern border of Peru. It is a Citco / Gallahan Auto Truck Plaza that sits ontop of the hill, and has plenty room for us to park with a restaraunt to grab a bite to eat. It is on the east side of US 31, and I have attached a local map of its location.
There are groups coming from both Chicago and Michigan. The initial group of about 30 bikes meeting is growing, as the word is spreading. The ride was initially setup for some Delphi Road Star Forum members to hook up, but has grown to all kinds of bikes. Everyone is welcomed. This is a very informal meeting / ride although I am still working on some local maps and options.
The Indianapolis group is meeting at the McDonalds just west of Dreyer Yamaha on west Washington Street. We are meeting at 9:30 am so we can grab a bite to eat. Please be fueled up and ready to leave the McDonalds at 10:15 am. We will ride as follows: Washington Street east, to Holt Road north, to 16th street east, to Meridian north (US 31), to Gallahans Truck Stop. Should be a nice sunday ride up through the mansions on Meridian.
If anyone has questions about the ride, please email me at toddlci@aol.com. For those riders that may be coming down from the north (South Bend, Chicago, Michigan, etc.), Eric has laid out a route coming from the north. He is in Chicago and can be reached on his cell phone @ 630-669-2989.
Ride on... TJ

Admission to the State Park is 4 Dollars, and the plan is to eat inside the park, so you bring your best Picnic Basket! ..... We will leave with tanks full at 10:00am. Rider's meeting at 9:45! See you there! And remember to bring your own lunch, as we will be eating in the park!

SUN OCT 20th: STAR RIDE (STAR and CIVRA Members) Here is another offering from our friends in the Yamaha RoadStar group ... Mike Tockey is the Ride Captain for this ride, and is also the owner of Speed City Cycle - the new shop that specializes in customizing metric cruisers. Mike is a great guy and an excellent source of information and inspiration! I encourage you all to join Mike and Wolfman on this cruise. I intend to be there, too. - Ice Man (CIVRA President) - Keep the Rubber Side Down ... Please remember that Star Touring has a strict no-drinking policy on all their rides. I hope to see a bunch of you there! .....

Chapter #144 - Indianapolis
We are meeting at Speed City Cycle at 3464 West 16th Street in Indianapolis at 9:00 am and leaving at 10:00 am. Please show up with tanks topped off and ready to ride! Kickstands up at 10:00 am sharp! We will be traveling a backroad route heading West and then North. This 150 mile + route starts with many slow speed corners and is a challenging ride. I have planned it so that even small bikes can keep up. The weather could be cold or wet so alternate routes are planned. The first gas stop/pee break is planned at the 30 mile mark or one hour in. We are confirming lunch plans so that information is not yet available. The places that I have chosen are not normally open on Sunday or I am asking them to open early for our group. Lunch is planned for 11:30 ish. ..... OPEN INVITE RIDE - ALL BIKE MAKES AND MODELS WELCOME

SUN OCT 20th: The Howboucha Hundred - Fall Classic Road Rally Join us for a great 100 mile ride along Southern Clay and Owen Counties finest, and most scenic country roads.....The course starts in Clay City at 10:30 a.m. and winds its way through Coal City, up and over to Patricksburg, along the Owen-Putnam State Forest to Cataract Falls, the South to Spencer for a "on your own" lunch stop. The route then crosses the White River and follows a fantastic road up and over the highest point in Owen County overlooking the banks of the White River. We cross the White again and take a very twisty road back to Clay City. It will be one of the best 100 mile routes you have ever been on. The course should be completed no later than 3:00 p.m.....The course is 98% pavement, with the other 2% chip-and-seal. I have put together a route that is almost entirely on "back roads" with only 3 miles on a state highway.....If you are looking for a leisurely ride to take in Indiana's best scenery, the fall colors, you will not be disappointed. Stay away from Nashville and all of the traffic.....All motorcyclists are welcome, and this year we are allowing vintage or unique cars to participate, but will run separate from the m/c group on the same route..... The only rules are that you must have a vehicle that is in safe operating condition, mechanically sound, properly licensed and insured. It must be capable of cruising at at least 65 mph.....There are no costs, poker run style rules, or any of the standard group event B.S. Just show up, meet everyone, grab a route sheet and have a good time. It is extremely informal so if you need to pull off and cut out early, go for it.....If you have any questions, please e-mail me at bkearns@howboucha.com or call (812) 939-2076. I would like an idea of who will be attending so I can make up enough route sheets..... If it is raining, we will postpone the event until the next weekend.

OCT ?: Return to Indiana's SkyLine Drive (CC USA - INDY Members) CRUISER CLUB USA - INDY Chapter ride... This Ride Will Be Open To The Public ... I will also plan an October return to Indiana's SkyLine Drive near Brownstown, and probably another Lunch Ride to The Beef House. Everyone and Anyone is invited, and if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, let me know: WebRider@CruiserClubIndy.org

SAT NOV 2nd: 'END OF SEASON' COOKOUT (SCRC Members) The INDY SCRC will be having an "End of the Season" party and cookout at Knobby Hill Race Track on Saturday, November 2nd ... a $5 per attendee to help cover the food and beverage cost is requested. This is a Southern Cruisers Event, sponsoresd by Noblesville Honda, but family members (yes, kids too) and riding buddies who are NOT members are welcome! Overnight camping will be available as well. Details will be forthcoming.....If there is a large number of folks wanting to camp, we can possibly arrange for transportation of gear to and from Knobby Hill.
