2010spooky01: Halloween Spooky Place MINI-VIDZ!
Because several of us live out in the BOONIES (where there ain’t no stinkin’ CABLE!) and use Mobile Broadband or (gasp!) Dial-Up Internet Connections, I first did a walkthrough shooting SIX SHORT mini-vid segments. (Part 1 through Part 6). Then I shot a Full-Length mini-vid while walking from beginning to end.
All my Mini-Vidz were shot before the sun went down = before the lighting effects could be appreciated, before the smoke machines were spewing, before the Witches’ Workshop stuff was burbling, and before any of the SPOOKY PEOPLE were in place!!! (Except for Charlie Horner the SAFETY MONSTER, seen in the FULL Vid.) So you’ll not get a TRUE sense of how SPLENDIFOROUSLY SPOOKY everything was. But, you’ll at least be able to see how GRAND the scope of this years’ SPOOKY PLACE was!
The FULL WALKTHROUGH mini-vid is the best. But, the SHORT PARTS are really fun, too. Those of you with Cable Internet Connection should view ALL Seven of the 2010 Mini-Vidz!!!

Charlie Horner (aka The Safety Monster) worked at the Entrance ALL NIGHT LONG – without a break! – performing the Safety Briefing and administering the Kidz’ SAFETY PLEDGE.
“Raise your right hand and repeat after me.” …During the first 2 hours, Safety Monster Horner occasionally had to STALL Kidz at the Entrance (until a GUIDE became available to take them through) by PLAYING his SPOOKY UKULELE and singing the SAFETY SONG!!!
“I, State Your Name” … “Will” … “Be” … “CAREFUL!”

2010spooky05: Pix of the Witches’ Workshop
Mistress Witch KAT set this spooky station up, and worked it almost all night long (occasionally subbed by Master Randy or Mistress Paige). When the Kidz arrived at her workshop, Kat asked if anyone would volunteer their fingers or toes or ears so that she could make a BLENDED MOCHA DRINK from them! Too, funny!
2010spooky06: THE GARAGE GHOULS!!!
After leaving the Witches’ Workshop, Kidz were directed to COUNT the GHOULS IN THE GARAGE (windows) as they passed by them to reach the final turn of the MAZE!
There were 5 Ghoul Faces mounted in the first Garage’s windows. But, only 4 Ghoul Faces were mounted in the second Garage’s windows, with a SPACE left after the 7th Ghoul. During the GIG, the 8th Ghoul’s Space was filled by the face of a LIVE PERSON posing as a Ghoul! Just when the Kidz were about to count the 9th Ghoul, the 8th Ghoul suddenly BANGED on the Garage Door and SNARLED at them!
Master Mike was the 8th Ghoul for most of the night, sporting a lovely set of blinking-light-teeth. Sometimes PARROT-HEAD JOHN was there … sometimes The Spooky Old Man (Randy) was there, but disguised by a scary FULL-HEAD mask!]
This was the only feature in the entire MAZE that was guaranteed to SCARE EVERYONE, EVERY TIME!!!
2010spooky07: SPOOKY DISPLAYS along the final walk!!!
Kat’s Granddaughter, Paige, brought two of her friends to the gig. They occasionally posed as seemingly fake bodies along the way … leaping to spook folkz just as they passed by.
2010spooky08: The WHITE ROOM and the FINAL EXIT!!!
After the GROUP SCREAM earned them their candy, the Kidz exited through what appeared to be a simple last display … then they met LUKE as the NEIGHBORHOOD TROLL! (In the Mini-Vidz I referred to him as a Werewolf … I was wrong! LOL)
