Travis is a man of sweet and gentleman character. He is a "perfect" gentleman on and off the racetrack.
The track announcers say Travis is a "gasser".That is so true,he should never be overlooked.
Travis began racing competitively at the age of 15.Early success in dwarf and midget series cars, Rilat set his sights on racing sprint cars.
In only his second season behind the wheel of a sprint car,Travis captured 1998 Rookie of the Year honors in the ASCS 360 Sprint series. While earning the Rookie of the Year award,Travis also got the Hard Charger award.
In 1999, with the ASCS tour, Travis finished 4th over all in points.His immediate success in racing at such a young age illustrates his natural skills and his ability to excel in any racing series.
The next milestone for Travis would be Outlaw 410 Sprints. For the 2000 season, Travis chose to compete in Outlaw racing. He won NCRA Rookie of the Year honors in 410 sprints.Travis won several feature events in both the ASCS and NCRA series.
