Our Vaughn Family history begins as we know it with one man, George W. Vaughn. Most of the life of George W. Vaughn is a mystery to us. His birth date, place or parentage have never been discovered.
The first real glimpse of George W. Vaughn comes in the form of a marriage certificate.
On the 7th
Day of April, 1853
George W. Vaughn
and Lurena Fowler
were united in marriage by Archeleus Walker in
Old Tishomingo County Mississippi.
Lurena FOWLER was born in Alabama in 1835. She was the daughter of Baxter Folwer and Charity Daughtrey. It is not clear how the two met.
