SHOW HALL
Palmer Event Center is a brand new exhibition center which opened in June 2002. It has covered parking attached to the facility. Parking is $7.00 per day.
SHOW HOTEL
Holiday Inn North, 6911 North IH-35 is the official hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle service to and from the airport from 5:30 AM - 11:30 PM. Rate is $65 per day plus tax for up to four people per room. There is a $15 non-refundable pet deposit per room. Reservations can be made by calling 512-459-4251 or 800-759-0841. Fax is 512-459-6892. Cut off date for a reservation is March 18, 2003. You must mention the cat club to get this special rate. ***For those exhibitors flying in, the club will provide transportation from the hotel to the show hall and back. Please indicate on the Summary Form if you will need transportation.***
PHOTOGRAPHER
Helmi Flick of Feline Fotos by Helmi will be our show photographer. She does absolutely OUTSTANDING work - unsurpassed! Now is the time to get your pictures made for the Yearbook!!!
SPECIAL TROPHIES/AWARDS
The Stan Bass Award will be awarded to the highest scoring championship Siamese in show. Awards will be given to the highest scoring Maine Coon Kitten, Cat and Alter, and the highest scoring Oriental Shorthair Kitten, Cat and Alter, donated by Kelly Crouch, Jannelle Lawrence and Nancy Parkinson.
SERVICES
Cat litter will be provided. Please bring your own litter pans. People food will be available from the concession in the show hall. Outside food may not be brought in. There are several restaurants and fast food eating-places within walking distance of the show hall.
CAGES
CAGE SIZE: Single cage is 22x2x24. Double cage is 22x22x48. Cages must be covered on three sides and the top. NOTE: Exhibitors providing their own cage(s) require two benching spaces per cage and must pay for any extra half spaces needed to meet hits requirement.
EXHIBITION/FOR SALE CAGES
For Sale Cages (double cage) will be available to exhibitors only on a limited basis. You must submit an entry form for each "For Sale" entry - mark the entry FOR SALE across the top of the form. Use the litter registration number if there is no individual registration. There is no charge for "For Sale" entries. 2 cats or 4 kittens allowed per cage.
NON-VETTED SHOW
All cats and kittens should be current with their vaccinations. The State of Texas requires a rabies vaccination. Cats with parasites, fungus or showing signs of illness will not be permitted in the show hall. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped per TICA Show Rule 210.2.
SHOW RULES/AWARDS
All exhibitors agree by entry to abide by and uphold the show rules of TICA. Show rules and registration information may be obtained from TICA Executive Office, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551. Cost is $7.
RING CLERKS AND STEWARDS
Please indicate on the Summary Form if you will be available to clerk. Ring clerks will be paid $35 per day, provided lunch and a fully marked catalog. Two clerks per ring will be fully compensated. Ring clerks will be assigned when entries have closed. Requests to clerk are not guarantees of assignment. DO NOT DEDUCT CLERKING FEES FROM ENTRY FEES. Compensation will be made at the end of the show. Stewards will be compensated $15 per day and provided lunch.
