booze
I can't drink anymore. I think this is sad. It's taken a large part of joy out of my Friday nights. Heck! For that matter, it's taken a large part of joy out of my weeknights. MS drugs suck. Oh well, God gave me MS for a reason. Perhaps it was to learn to practice self control. Let us all pause for a moment of silence to recognize the passing of my drinking days...

*respectful pause*

Thank you.

fencing
I'm sooo tired of talking about fencing! That's all this family ever talks about anymore. Tonight we had friends over to discuss all sorts of stuff...while we appreciated some of God's finest aged hops. ;-)

They ended up talking fencing all night! It's almost 2am and they are still talking fencing. They've moved to coffee and cigars though. I think they are "burning" the cubans they have...you know, that's what you are supposed to do with illegal cuban stuff...burn it.

my MS & funeral thoughts
I went to a funeral today. That's really all that I did that was worth talking about. I was pretty sick today so I slept for a large chunk of the day. Sorry I've been slacking on my blogging...

My multiple sclerosis has been acting up and my eyes have been having issues. This has been keeping me from doing much reading or typing.

Back to thoughts on my funeral...

I do not want you guys to play songs off of a tape recorder at my funeral. Please just stick to singing stuff.

Also, don't send me flowers. I won't be able to enjoy them. If you are going to send me flowers for my funeral, send them now so I at least get to see them!

And...make sure you get me a butt kickin' preacher. Thank you.

Hey RUFers...
I got this from Nathanie today: "I plan to attend law school at the University of Pennsylvania. It would be nice to see a different part of the country. Philadelphia looks like an exciting town."

Just keeping you on the cutting edge! ;-)

Easter Bunny Whipped by Pennsylvania Church Group
Wow...these people are a bit nutty. Fuq, you should visit this church.

Easter Bunny Whipped by Pa. Church Group

GLASSPORT, Pa. A church trying to teach about the crucifixion of Jesus performed an Easter show with actors whipping the Easter bunny and breaking eggs, upsetting several parents and young children.

People who attended Saturday's performance at Glassport's memorial stadium quoted performers as saying, "There is no Easter bunny," and described the show as being a demonstration of how Jesus was crucified.

Melissa Salzmann, who brought her 4-year-old son J.T., said the program was inappropriate for young children.

"He was crying and asking me why the bunny was being whipped," Salzmann said.

Patty Bickerton, the youth minister at Glassport Assembly of God (search), said the performance wasn't meant to be offensive. Bickerton portrayed the Easter rabbit and said she tried to act with a tone of irreverence.

"The program was for all ages, not just the kids. We wanted to convey that Easter is not just about the Easter bunny, it is about Jesus Christ," Bickerton said.

Performers broke eggs meant for an Easter egg hunt and also portrayed a drunken man and a self-mutilating woman, said Jennifer Norelli-Burke, another parent who saw the show in Glassport, a community about 10 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

"It was very disturbing," Norelli-Burke said. "I could not believe what I saw. It wasn't anything I was expecting."

a thought on love
I want to be loved so much that the other person thinks I'm worth fighting for.

birfday
*wow* I'm feeling the love. I've had many kind people e-mail me today and wish me a Happy Birthday. Plus, Robin even did it on her webpage!

20 doesn't feel any older. And no, Nate, I'm not going out drinking. Bummer...huh? I went out earlier this week I've also decided that I can't drink anymore. It makes me really sick with all the meds I'm on. But, be sure to have a drink for me! ;-)

random quote
This is a random quote from a friend of mine who is graduating from college this year. It's nice to know that he's finally figured out what he wants to do with his life...

"I'd like to be a scholar of sex...you know, study it...for a living"
