I'm hurting inside
waiting for pain to subside
to leave
then grieve
is to spill your emotions
and to put away your notions
but for the being time
I am surviving
making the best of canyons within my soul
holding fast to the last control
carrying ice that cannot catch cold
attempting to chain a rambling rose
I'll have to fight through the present years
to reap the awards of my fallen tears
