Scavenger Lethargy
Scavenger Lethargy

I dropped off my smiles
Packed them all in a neat place with room to spare
and one to grow on as I greeted the true miles
To roll my eyes
Annoyed there
Varying care
Try and teach me that life is not fair
I will take a day off
I will be tempted for more
Who is there for me to feel for?
I may be in a love with my little surprise
He does not know
Thankful as I am for such a thing
But
in an unreality I have my own map of this
behind a blank crazy stare that you typically will see
I will forget you all
And pick up my smiles from resting
With room to live

in the scarce light of dawn
crack the day with your happiness
panic-
-my hearts around you in love
Shards of identity
place you away from the commoners
Lucky for that
I am without you alone
in sadness with accompaniment of stars
and songs
praise sung among the grey skies
and hip movements
dirt removed, kicked around
in anxious bouts of excitement
Sway your eyes in my pleading path
of mine
what is this
Do you like
Can I
Will you
fall together like lost bricks
held together
but not
for you feel as I do only in dreams
the bliss of dreams can only bring-
-us together
