Falling Under
Falling Under

You came from California
and governed the actions I was to take
not as you could take it with you,
but walk the paved streets of my heart
and the salty shoreline was left behind
but my tears can wash the sandy remnants
the day you came like rolling thunder
I'm surprised to find I'm falling under
a trembling feeling surrenders by now
enter the room and wonder how
I can go on without what traveler has landed
I am in your doorway, empty handed

And my thoughts, just you can fly with them
etched in concrete just you can discover
my solem retreat
your kisses are like rolling thunder that
I will never hear
and I'm surprised to find I'm falling under
set me up as your substitutional horizon
