Tucker and Beyond

This may be under construction for a while. Although, it will resemble what i'm looking for. In the mean time here are a few new pics for you to enjoy. Thank you for stopping by and sharing my passion with one of the greatest cars ever built.

I have assembled a small selection of random pictures you may or may not have seen. More show up everyday, so you never know what you may find next.

The Carioca and Talisman

Before Preston died, he had plans to build his next car in Brazil. The 1955 Carioca would be the sports car he dreamed of. It was to be built in Brazil and powered by a mid mounted opposed four cylider engine. He passed away of lung cancer in 1956 before he could see his latest vision come to pass. He also have a vision of a two door coupe called the Talisman. Alex Tremulis and Phillip Egan waorked on two different versions.

There is a bright ray of sunshine to this story. IDA Automotive; the company who brought the new Tucker 48, is buliding a Carioca from scratch. You can track the progress on their web site, and when they have a working prototype I'll try to post it here.

Toys and Such

Yes, you and your friends can own the latest in Tucker toys. All you have to do is go get them. Provided you can still find them. You're best bet is a hobby shop or eBay.

Johnny Lightning also makes a small scale version of the Tucker Torpedo. They will show up from time to time in toy stores or hobby shops. Online auction sites are usually your best bet though.

A variety of promotional items have been made in honor of Tucker s machine. This is just a small sampling.
