Giant-sized insect larvae that can be encountered in Konami's 1997/1998 Castlevania: Legends [Japanese title: Akumajo Dracula: Shikkoku Taru Zensoukyoku (Demon Castle Dracula: Dark Night Prelude)] Super Gameboy video game. These plump maggots hang from ceilings, tree branches, and other high-vantage points, patiently waiting for warm-blooded creatures to pass near them. When suitable prey comes blundering along, the Bloodsucking Bug falls to the ground and rapidly wriggles towards its' intended meal. Initially, it will take two cracks of Sonia Belmont's whip to destroy one of these loathsome crawlers, but only a single blow when the weapon has been powered-up (that said, note that the long-range fireballs that the full-strength, third-level whip unleashes do minimal damage and will still require two hits--it's only physical contact with the actual whip that deals the increased damage).
