Pterosaur-like creatures that rule the skies in the town of Silent Hill. Harry Mason is first introduced to these flying fiends when one of them suddenly crashes through the window and attacks him in the cafe where he begins his adventures. The fog-shrouded streets provide perfect cover for these winged horrors as they noisily flap about, circling their prey before diving in to savagely rip and tear with their beak and talons. Air Screamers often hunt alone but can also be found in small flocks or in the company of Groaners.

Materials:
Newsprint, paper toweling, white glue, and paint.

Dimensions:
15.5 cm/6.1 in. x 21.3 cm/8.4 in. (highest point x widest point)

Time:
Two days; January 8 and 9, 2005.

Mid-construction photos:

The top two photos were taken the morning after I completed the majority of the model - the skin on the wings still needs to be added and different areas of the figure need more development. The bottom left picture shows the figure complete but unpainted. The bottom right photo depicts the first coat of paint applied to the upper body and wings.
