The Autobot's geologist. Beachcomber doesn't like violence, and the never-ending civil war that rages between his brethren and the Decepticons is a constant source of stress for him. Beachcomber wishes he could spend his time exploring and analyzing the natural wonders of his new home, Earth, but continues to battle for the Autobot cause that he considers a necessary evil.
Beachcomber is adept at examining and identifying the chemical composition of almost any substance, a skill which aids the Autobots greatly in their search of the raw materials and energy sources on Earth that they desperately need to continue combating the Decepticons. He can transform at will into a dune buggy that travels well over most terrains but is not especially agile or damage resistant. Beachcomber's abilities lend themselves to scientific endeavors, not battle, and so, he is not a very effective warrior. He lacks any offensive weaponry in either robot or buggy mode which limits his usefulness and can even make him a liability in a fight.
