Necrotic trees that can be encountered in the Earth World region of From Software's 1998 Shadow Tower Playstation roleplaying video game. Despite their threatening appearance, Caskets are completely immobile and will never physically attack anyone. However, these gruesome plants are so tainted by the aura of death that any living thing that draws too close to one will have its life force rapidly leeched away--the bones of previous victims, littering the surrounding area, attest to the effectiveness of this deadly miasma. One would think that a stationary target would be easy to strike, but, unfortunately, that is not the case; Caskets are unnatural entities and they continuously fade in and out of reality--the creatures can only be physically harmed during the brief moments when they're actually solid.
