Elecn

Flying robots that populate Spark Man's stage in Mega Man 3. Elecns descend from large pipe factories embedded in the ceiling when their proximity detectors are set off by an intruder. They then float through the air towards their target and attack by touching their two electrical plug "arms" together creating a ring of sparks that radiate outwards. Elecns are slow and fragile mechanoids, so it's generally easy for Mega Man to destroy them before they ever get a chance to attack.

This is actually the second Elecn I've sculpted. The original got thrown away many years ago, so I unfortunately don't have any pictures of it. I used pipe cleaners for the arms and the color job was a little different (I'd only seen them in the grayscale Gameboy version of Mega Man 3 back then, so I kind of had to guess), but other than that, it looked much the same.

Materials:
Cardboard, white paper, colored paper, white glue, hot glue, aluminum foil, ink, and paint.

Dimensions:
10.4 cm/4.1 in. x 9.5 cm/3.7 in. (highest point x widest point)

Time:
Unknown; this figure's creation occured before I started keeping thorough records of my work (which means it was made sometime prior to May 30, 2004).
