Gun Grinner

Monster Mind (sentient plants bent on universal domination that were created by an experiment that went horribly wrong due to a burst of black light radiation) and Commander of the "Gun Troopers". He serves as one of Saw Boss', the leader of the Monster Minds, generals.

Gun Grinner can change back and forth, at will, between humanoid and vehicle forms. In vehicle mode, Gun Grinner is fast and maneuverable, but lightly armored. He can be outfitted with a variety of offensive accessories and artillery, but his primary weapons are the row of guns in his mouth, from which he obviously got his namesake, and his roof-mounted, barbed, four-pronged, flail. The whirling flail can reach incredible speeds and exerts considerable force - a single blow will crush all but the most durable metal plating. In humanoid form, Gun Grinner retains the use of his flail (it becomes one of his hands), but loses much in the way of strength and durability.

The Gun Troopers look identical to Gun Grinner, and have similar capabilities, but they're not as powerful and far less intelligent. More importantly, they only exist in "vehicle" form; they can't assume a humanoid form like Gun Grinner, Saw Boss, or the other two Monster Mind generals.

My Gun Grinner figure is based on a cross between the toy and cartoon vehicle designs.

Cardboard, white paper, white glue, hot glue, beads, toothpick ends, aluminum foil, and paint.

14.8 cm/5.8 in. x 16.5 cm/6.5 in. (highest point x widest point)

Time:
Unknown; this figure's creation occured before I started keeping thorough records of my work (which means it was made sometime prior to May 30, 2004).
