High Slime
Amorphous, watery creatures that can be found in Final Fantasy Legend/Makaitoushi SaGa (Demon World Tower SaGa). Of all the varieties of living sludge present in this fantasy world, High Slimes are the deadliest.
ABILITIES:
High Slimes can excrete two different substances through their external membrane. The first is a highly corrosive acid that will melt/dissolve almost any substance. The second is a cloud of noxious gas that envelopes and chokes the ooze's attackers. Physical contact with a High Slime may result in a bothersome skin irritation that compromises the agility of those inflicted (due to the almost irresistible urge to continuously scratch the affected area). The undulating movements of the creature have a hypnotic effect, if one cannot pull their gaze away, confusion and disorientation will result. High Slimes have potent psychic abilities; they can 'fry' the minds of everyone in their immediate vicinity with a devastating psi-blast. These gooey creatures have no skeleton, musculature, or nervous system--these features make them resistant to many kinds of attacks (i.e., normal melee weapons will only inflict half their usual damage and they cannot be paralyzed). The gelatinous body of a High Slime absorbs the shockwaves created by earthquakes. Because of their ability to assume any shape and slip through the tiniest of cracks, these monsters are almost impossible to detect or avoid.
