Three-eyed, emerald skeletons that can be encountered within the Black Marble Gallery, Reverse Caverns, Reverse Entrance, and Reverse Outer Wall in Castlevania - Symphony Of The Night. When destroyed, a Nova Skeleton may drop a poisonous Terminus Est Sword (terminus est is Latin for 'it is finished') or a mysterious bottle that contains a skeleton minion that will aid one in battle when the container is broken (Monster Vial 3).
Nova Skeletons can unleash beams of highly-destructive energy that will annihilate all but the most durable of foes instantly.
It is unusual for a mere skeleton (which, while numerous, are usually little more than fodder in the hierarchy of Dracula's vast legions of horrors) to have such a powerful offensive weapon. Many adventurers, both novice and veteran, have fallen prey to this surprisingly deadly attack.
Like most of Dracula's skeletal servants, the fragile bones of Nova Skeletons are easily destroyed. It takes a moment for these bony fiends to charge their deadly beams--a swift attack can kill them before they have the chance to demonstrate their power. Materials:
