Splithead/ Lizard
A lizard of gigantic proportions that lurks in the bowels of Silent Hill's Midwich Elementary School. Slow but relentlous, Split Head paces its circular lair in search of prey. The creature derives its name from its ability, when angered, to split its head and neck in two, creating two gaping jaws capable of swallowing a human adult in one bite - an intimidating display, but one that also leaves its delicate innards momentarily exposed to attack.
My Split Head figures has two points of articulation, hinges on either side of its "shoulders" which allow the head and neck to open and close. Sometime after making the figure, I decided to repaint the pink inner mouth red (the difference can be seen in the photos below) - why I did this, I don't recall, but I should have left it pink, which looked better. And yes, that's Pyramid Head on his trusty mount hunting a Mumbler.
