~Baron~

Baron! This would have to be the toughest looking horse (maybe with the exception of Terminator my lovely shire stallion) but yes getting back to Baron. He worked as an army horse for many years, taking charge over all the other stallions that went charging at his command. He got sterner as the time went past, but became a better leader as well! That’s when two mares ended up falling off a cliff, Sapphire (Red Gold) and Sunny (Lady Trooper) and swam into their herd. Completely furious Baron took care of them anyways; they were just an extra mouth to feed on their already dangerous life style.

That’s when Sapphire stood up against him without a worry, no one in his or her right mind would accept her. He began to like her more and more not making him any softer I might add. Then one day his kissed her (Yes my horses kiss ) and surprised her more than anyone and after many ocword hours they are still together at the moment. Looks over shoulder to see them lying beside each other

But something bad happened to them! The forest burnt down and killed most of their riders, leaving them there with only a few people. Those few called in for trucks and trailers to take all the horses away from the camp and straight to a sale to make money for the wounded who couldn’t pay for medicine. That’s where Freedom Acers saw the four horses and after a long talk with the soldiers she had heard enough, she bought them and brought them home.

At first Baron refused to do anything, wouldn’t let a person touch him let alone put a saddle on and ride. He wouldn’t eat or drink for the first two days and he wouldn’t leave Sapphire alone for a second. It got so bad that instead of splitting them up (Sapphire with Baron and Sunny with her stallion) that the owner had to throw all four together. Once Baron was with his best and old Friend Memphis (Memphis Pride) he started cheering up and coming into himself even though he did lose most of his herd.

It’s now been a year since the owners at Freedom Acers had bought him and he is doing awesome. He pulls beautiful carriages for wedding in his pure white and gold harness, does dressage in shows and goes out for rides through fields jumping over huge dead fallen trees. He’s also been moved up in the herd since he was once a leader; he is now part leader here. Lightning (Indian Summer) our herd leader is getting overwhelmed with all the new horses coming in that he needs a lot more help, and since Baron and Firesky both have led herds before there were perfect. So really Baron is more than happy, he’s overjoyed that he has found such a wonderful home.
