Sango is from a village of demon slayers. She joined Inuyasha and the
rest
after all her family and friends were killed. She, too was decieved by
Naraku. She and the rest of the slayers were called to a village to
exterminate a demon, but it ended in peril as her brother, Kohaku, was
taken
over and he ended up slaying all the slayers, and also wounding Sango.
He
regained himself just in time to be shot down and killed by arrows.
Sango
survives, but finds out that her whole village was destroyed while she
was
gone. Naraku, who was responsible for her village getting destroyed,
tells
her it was Inuyasha who did it. He gives Sango a jewel shard so she
will
have strength, and then she goes to kill Inuyasha. She fights him, but
soon
enough discovers that Naraku has deceived her.
She decides to join Inuyasha's group to avenge the deaths of all her
kin,
and Kohaku whom Naraku has salvaged from death to use as a puppet.
Kohaku
has a jewel shard in his back, given to him by Naraku, which is the
only
thing keeping him alive. Naraku erased all his memories and reduced him
to
nothing more than a killing machine. Of everyone from her village,
Sango and
her fire-cat companion, Kirara, are the only ones alive.
Sango is Miroku's prime target for flirting and fondling, and she
always
gets angry and slaps him. She still has feelings him anyway, although
she
pretends not to.
