Holidy Console Review
by Oddguy
Good things come to those who wait, right?
Well, in terms of console waiting, the answer is "Yes!"
If you haven't bought a certain system you want
because you're waiting for a good deal to pop up, now is your chance.
Microsoft, Sony and Nitendo are competeing for new followers
with each of their consoles bundled up for the holiday season.
Ahhh, the Xbox. My personal favorite. I bought mine shortly after launch with nothing but
the system and controller for about $200 dollars. For less than that, the Xbox
Holiday Bundle brings you system, controller, 2 games(Star Wars: The Clone Wars
and Tetris Worlds Online) and 2 free months of Xbox Live. $179.99 on Amazon.com.
Get the DVD Playback Kit and your da man! Oddguy's personal pick.
Playstation is by far the most popular system, but I'm not so
impressed with their Combo Pack. $199.99 for system, controller and Network
Adapter for Online Gameplay. That's it, but PS2 DOES NOT require you to buy an
extra kit to play DVD's and it is Backward-compatible with PS1 games, so you save money there.
This special Nintendo GameCube bundle includes system, controller and four complete classic
Zelda games on one disc: The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link,
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
The disc also includes a playable demo for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker,
a short retrospective history of the Zelda series, and gameplay footage
highlights from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Not bad for the low price
of $99.99
