BUDOKAN DVD: Main information is up at the site. The new Budokan DVD will cost 6,800 yen (tax not included) and as reported before, will go on sale Nov. 10, 2006, but will not include the third disc like the original. Basically, here what the changes will be:

1. No cut to the DJs featured
2. The sound will be in Dolby Digital from PCM
3. Re-mastering the whole soundtrack
4. Multi-channel amplification on the whole audio soundtrack (especially a whole host of songs!)
5. Improved image quality!
6. The 3rd backstage compilation disk will not be included

To give the best quality and sound, the third disk had to be cut (and so did the commentary track).

"Mandy ? hosted the opening ceremonies and in her introduction speech she covered the many AX activities and events including AX Idol, AMV, Contest, and Masquerade, etc. 2006 marks the 15 year anniversary of AX. To me, it seems like there’s just too much stuff going on in 4 days.

Mandy then handed off the microphone to AX Chair Joyce Lim who gave a short speech. Joyce highlighted the 15th anniversary party at the AniMatsuri Summer Festival, Charity Auction (which raised $60,000 in 2005). At the end, she thanked the many sponsors and attendees.

Back to Mandy, she mentioned that this year’s Charity Auction proceeds are going to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Monica Garcia (CHOAC public relations) and another hospital representative from the hospital spoke briefly.

Switching back again to Mandy, she then welcomed and introduced all the Guests of Honor. Romi Park unfortunately couldn’t make it to AX. CLAMP was not present for Opening Ceremonies, but the audience erupted in thunderous clapping and yelling when Mandy listed off their works (one could say AX this year should have been renamed "CLAMP-Con"). Mana of MALICE MIZER also could not make it to Opening Ceremonies."

BROCCOLI USA invited me out to MC the Di Gi Charat Panel at ANIME EXPO! I have worked with Broccoli USA before as Rabi En Rose for the voice acting/singing group DUP (Dejiko,Usada,Puchiko) which opened up for the Japanese band Yousei Teikoku at PMX! The panel is on Sunday from 6:30PM to 8:30 PM! So all Di Gi Charat fans should come out nyo!

OK, GenCon Indy is having two types of badges this year, one for the regular events and one for "anime" (Japanese animation) only. One of the anime events is karaoke. (Can we say "sing I've songs?")

The "I've Girls Compilation vol.6" named "Collective" is coming out on Thursday, Aug. 11th 2005 (Friday, Aug. 12, 2005 (Japan)!), but instead of the previously announced two discs, only one is scheduled to be released. The price will be 2,800 yen (About 27-28 US dollars.)

Kazuya Takase is the arranger for the theme song to Key's "tomoyo afutaa" (After the Intelligence Age). There is not any information on who will be the arranger for the opening and ending themes. Lia may be the singer.

Last month, tickets went on sale on July, 29th, 2005 (July 30, 2005) for the Budokan event and those who bought a ticket, got a special maxi single. This information has been released about another song by I've Special Unit:

IMAGECRAFT, the company that did the "Slow Step" PC game, has decided to release the soundtrack, which will go sale on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005 (Friday, Aug 12, 2005 in Japan.) The theme song "Slow Step" (by Healing Leaf, lyrics by KOTOKO) as well as eight background music tracks will be added.

Nicknamed, "Vacillate", due to the file name on the official site, and the fact that the official site spells the word, "Vacillate" (Japanese translation: douyou suru), the song will be used as a theme song for an adult PC game, by the company Selen, called, "The Couple's Sister-In-Law" (futari no aniyome). ("Vacillate" means, according to the way the Japanese translation is used: oscillate.)
