Anime BeatDown does its reviews based on an A through F scale. The letter grades are as follows:
A : A Classic, A Must See
A- : Exceptional
B+ : Above Average
B : Average
B- : Not Bad But Less Than Average
C+ :
C- :
D : Bad
F : Horrible, Do Not Waste Your Time

What do your ratings stand for?

The ratings are as follows:
All Ages : Appropriate for all ages children to adults.
Teens : Appropriate for teens and above
Mature : Appropriate for those 17 or above.
To provide a more accurate rating a description of teh content follows the rating.

Other sites only do reviews on a single DVD/VHS's content or on single episodes. Why do you review whole series?

The goal of reviewing anime is to allow the reader to decide whether it is worth his/her time, effort, or cash to view or purchase a series. We feel this cannot be done by simply examaning a portion of a series. While some programs focus on specific plots and themes throughout, others change over time. Sometimes the genre of a series may even change! Issues like these are discussed in our reviews, hopefully helping the reader make an educated decision about what programs are worth checking out.

What determines which anime series and movies are featured on your site?

The Anime BeatDown team features whatever anime they can get their hands on as well as what they have time to do. We are hard at work writing episode guides and reviews, but quality work takes time. If the series you wish to see here is not present be patient.
