April 18 2004 - Giants Vs. Dodgers

Ladies and Gentlemen, a moment of silence...

Okay! At the park there is a fenced off area where people can watch the game for free. We went there right away so I could take my first look of the park in person. My brother was on his cell phone talking to our cousin and my cousin said: Hey, the "game" ("footage of the park") is on right now. My brother asked: What do you see on TV? So basically what ended up happening was the cameras were pointed in our direction and my cousin could see us on TV with our two bright orange signs. So, my brother is SO excited at this point and my cousin said: The cameras are moving, go to the left. So, my brother is pushing me to the left, I'm holding onto one half of the orange poster with one hand and I'm trying to video tape the park with the other hand. Then my cousin said: No, not your left! Mine! So, my brother starts pulling me and starts to run. So, meanwhile I can't turn off the camera because I don't have three hands and I'm recording our feet, people's butts, the park...full on blair witch style. LOL. All you could hear was me saying: Excuse us, excuse us! Because my brother isn't paying attention where others are, he's too excited because our cousin could see us on T.V.

Just some pics of a couple of players warming up as well as the mascot.

We got to our seats and we were way up there! There were only two more rows behind us and that was it. That was the end of the seats. But I got some pictures of players warming up and the mascot joined them. My brother was saying: Barry is going to get a home run. He didn't get it the first time but the second time he did.

We ended up moving our seats because we wanted to get as close as we could to the Giant's dugout in hopes that they could autograph my poster. We were like...6 rows away from Barry, it was great! He got his second and last home run of the day.

This was my first time to a sports event that was professional. Also, it was my first giants game and my first time in San Francisco. I have been to the airport to pick up a friend but that's about it. I've never been on the Golden Gate Bridge or anything. Never been to China Town...NOTHING. So, this was real exciting. I had a lot of firsts that day. We also got caught trying to get closer to the Dug out and the man said: I want to see some tickets if not, you have to leave. So, we left. We never got to the dug out but we did get an autograph from Rob Nen. So, that was just icing on the cake! A lot of the players just said bye to us as they were leaving from their parking lot, so that was cool. But it would have been nice if they would have stopped but oh well. Guess what. I'm going again tonight! So, I am REAL excited. More pictures from tonight's game coming up tomorrow or the day after.
