Hamtaro
Episode Guide - Eps. 27 - 52
Laura
is going ice-skating with Kana, so Hamtaro figures that the Ham-Hams
should go have fun too instead of sleeping all winter. Boss teaches them
how to make snowhams and igloos, and to go sledding. Stan likes
snowboarding, and he says he's better at snow sports than Boss, so they
decide to have the Ham-On-Ice Challenge, which ends up in the Ham-Hams
forming two teams for a snowball fight and a big bobsled race. At the ice
rink, Travis helps Laura with her skating. 28.
The Amazing Auntie Viv
Laura
and Kana are busy training for a marathon race that lots of kids from
school will be running. Hamtaro suggests that the Ham-Hams run their own
marathon right along side them. The Ham-Hams do some training, and Boss is
obviously the fittest and fastest, way past the others, until Auntie Viv
shows up. Auntie Viv is a very good friend of Elder-Ham's from long ago.
She can give Boss more than enough competition. Laura and Kana meet Travis
while they're training. He's excited to do the best he can. In the race,
he is in the lead, but when Laura trips and gets hurt, he stops to carry
her and says winning isn't the most important thing. In their own race,
Auntie Viv trips and hurts her foot, so Boss insists on carrying her back.
Auntie Viv promises that they'll finish their race at another time. 29.
The Search For Dad's Glasses!
Laura's
dad can't find his glasses anywhere. Hamtaro tells the Ham-Hams about it,
and Dexter explains to the Ham-Hams all about glasses and sunglasses.
Laura's dad can't go anywhere without his glasses, so he and Laura go to
Dexter's owner's eyeglass shop to see about new ones, but nothing there
looks any good. Laura's dad thinks he might have left his glasses at a bus
stop. The Ham-Hams follow them, but can't catch up to hitch a ride. They
see a pair of glasses under a bus stop bench that look like his, so they
try to carry them home, but it's very hard and they end up getting broken
several times by the time they get there. But it turns out that Laura's
dad found his own glasses at another bus stop, so they weren't his after
all. Dexter uses the pieces to make glasses for all the Ham-Hams. 30.
Brandy's Big Race
Laura
and her parents take Brandy with them to the mountains to see the Annual
Dog Sled Race. The winner gets a contract for advertising with the Diggity
Dog dog food company. Brandy is always asleep, and doesn't look to wake up
any time soon, until the Diggity Dog samples are displayed. Brandy runs up
on stage and gets laughed at by the crowd. Thanks to the efforts of their
tag along Ham-Hams, Brandy suddenly ends up in the race. Hamtaro tells
Brandy to do it for Laura, and the Ham-Hams continually give their support
to keep Brandy on the race trail. 31.
Boss Is A Mom!
Boss
is acting really strange lately. He's taking care of a little lost kitten!
The kitten really seems to like him, but how will it feel about the other
Ham-Hams? Boss is very protective of the little kitten, but he will have
to learn that the best thing for the kitten is to go back to it's owner, a
little girl who misses it very much. 32.
Valentine's Day!
It's

give it to him. The Ham-Hams are also planning their Valentines. Auntie
Viv comes to see Elder-Ham with a special gift for him, and the girls plan
a big gift for everyone to share. 33.
Let's Cross The Rainbow!
The
Ham-Hams see a rainbow, but Bijou missed it. She believes that it is bad
luck, and that it means all the colors will disappear from her life. Boss
is determined to find her another one so that won't happen. Meanwhile,
Laura and Kana are planning their project for the Science Fair. They
decide to try and grow square tomatoes! The Ham-Hams go to Elder-Ham to
ask about the rainbow. He tells them to wait on the roof tomorrow, and it
will come. The next day it rains, and finally Bijou gets her rainbow. 34.
Watching Over Cute Penelope
Pashmina
has to spend the day with her human, June, so she can't stay with Penelope
in the Ham-Ham Clubhouse. Howdy and Dexter both want to impress Pashmina,
so they both volunteer to watch Penelope. But they spend so much time
fighting, they don't notice when she wanders off. Howdy and Dexter decide
to work together to find her. Penelope falls down a hole, and the other
Ham-Hams are the ones who find her, and send Hamtaro down to get her.
Laura is in town with Kana, and they find a little boy who lost his mom.
They keep him entertained with pictures of their hamsters, and June comes
by with Pashmina for him to pet until they can find his mom. 35.
Midnight Celebration
Kana's
little cousin Mimi, who owns Panda, is alone on her birthday because her
new little sister is arriving sooner than expected. Mimi is really sad
because everyone is so busy they can't pay any attention to her. Mimi is
such a very young child that she doesn't really know that hamsters
shouldn't be out wandering around, and when she sees the Ham-Hams she
talks to them. Mimi wants a set of china dolls for her birthday just like
Kana's, so the Ham-Hams decide to make costumes and dress up as the set of
dolls, and sing Mimi a song for her birthday. Late at night, Panda calls
in the Ham-Hams and they sing their special song, making Mimi very happy.
The next day, she thinks it must have been a dream, and she sings the song
for her new little sister. 36.
Farewell Bijou!
Maria,
Bijou's owner, has some bad news. Her parents are sending her to France to
study piano. Bijou will have to go with her. All the Ham-Hams will miss
Bijou, and Boss is devastated by the news. Still, the Ham-Hams pull
together to throw her a goodbye party, and get her lots of presents to
remember them by. But the next day, their goodbye presents turn into
welcome back presents, when Bijou comes to tell everyone that Maria told
her parents how much she loves it here, and they decided not to send her
to France after all. 37.
Oxnard's Big Crush
Kana
is going to her cousin Dylan's farm with her family, and they have invited
Laura and her family too. While Laura and Kana ride horses and milk goats,
and their fathers go bungee jumping, Hamtaro and Oxnard get a tour of the
farm with Dylan's hamster Pepper, who even takes them riding on a donkey.
Oxnard spends the whole trip trying to work up the nerve to tell Pepper
how much he likes her. 38.
The Precious Letter!
In
about a week, Laura and her parents are going to be going back to their
old neighborhood for a day. Laura tries to call her old friend Melanie so
she can visit, but every time she calls, she can't get through, so she
sends a letter instead. Laura waits every day for a response, but it
doesn't come. Concerned that Laura's letter got lost, Hamtaro sends Jingle
and Boss to track Melanie down. They find her, and Laura's letter didn't
get lost at all, but Melanie's letter back almost does. It's up to Boss,
Jingle, and Hamtaro to get Melanie's letter back to Laura. 39.
The Flying Ham-Hams!
Panda
finds part of an old scroll depicting a flying hamster with a cape and
goggles. Hamstaro draws the picture in the sand to show the Ham-Hams.
Several of the Ham-Hams decide that there must be a way that hamsters can
fly. The other Ham-Hams say there's no way. Panda and Hamtaro work hard to
find a way to fly, trying umbrellas, fans, and kites. Meanwhile, Laura get
randomly chosen to come up with their class' garden design for the
school's Spring Festival. She comes across Hamtaro's drawing and decides
that they should do a flying hamster design. Later, Panda finds the rest
of the scroll which reveals lots of balloons tied to the hamster. The
Ham-Hams go looking for balloons to fly with, and find some on a toy
monkey's hat at a store. The hat starts to float away, and all the
Ham-Hams jump on board. From up there, they can see Laura's flying hamster
garden design, which wins first prize at the Spring Festival. 40.

Laura
and Kana's families are going on a picnic together under the blossoming
cherry trees. The Ham-Hams decide to do the same. But Bijou's owner Maria
isn't feeling well, so Bijou stays at home with her. Boss goes to collect
cherry blossoms for Bijou, and then Hamtaro sees a way to make the idea
even better and has all the Ham-Hams grab as many blossoms as they can
carry. The Ham-Hams climb the tree outside Maria's window and spread out
so it looks like the tree is in bloom. It's beautiful, Bijou loves it!
Hamtaro falls out and has to climb back up, which leaves the tired Maria a
little confused. She'd be even more confused if she remembered that her
tree isn't even a cherry tree! 41.
