First off, I am a pad user. I have never used a tampon in my life. One time I tried and I got stuck trying to insert it and had to get my mum to pull it out. It was THE most .painful. experience ever. Okay no it wasn't but it was pretty .painful.. So really, I am a pad user by default. Yes I just can't insert tampons, it hurts and won't go in, I get too tense etc and I know I'm supposed to relax, but how can I when I'm just about to shove a stick of cotton up my vagina?
But pads, being the most annoying, uncomfortable things in the world, really piss me off. There's so many bad things about them, and it's so hard to find ones that are comfortable. COMFORTABLE. I don't think the companies bother to think about comfort half of the time. They say they do, but how can plastic be comfortable?
Also, I hate wings. Mostly because of adhesive reasons. They don't seem to stick well..or really do anything, just stick to my .fur. and hurt lots. Or rub against my legs and hurt more.
So here are all the brands of pads I have tried and what I think of them..or don't think of them.
.Libra.
Urgh. Ups and downs, I just can't decide. Their libra invisible pads...while I am attracted by the very pretty packaging, they are so damn uncomfortable. Much like wearing a hard sheet of plastic in your undies that bunch and scrunch and poke at you. Not my idea of fun.
Their regular pads.....after wearing hard plastic ones their cottony softness is like heaven, but..they suck. They have nooo adhesive at all I swear and just fall off your undies. I'm so scared that if my .knickers. aren't tight enough they'll just fall right out and I'll have a very embarrassing situation. Also, they don't seem to be all that absorbent....
.Kotex U.
U...U for U pads w/e. These pads really annoy me. And those stupid ads to the lead up were annoying as hell. While they come in cool boxes and pretty packaging, the pads are like sandpaper. I swear. They're white with this pink special core in the centre, and maybe it's just me, but after wearing them, it felt like my vagina was burning.
Their liners on the other hand, are awesome. Barely noticeable, soft, okay, NOT noticeable at all. Great for .spotting...
.Stayfree.
YES! My favourite brand. Their pads (the silky ones, I cannot STAND cotton) are great. Lots of adhesive (very important), comfortable, good length etc. Very absorbent too. None of that blood sitting on the top of the pad all day like some other brands... *coughsLibraInvisiblecoughs*.
And they're night time ultra thin pads are great! EXCELLLLLENT length. I find length important when I'm asleep, as I flop around into so many positions, I find with shorter lengths one I leak out the back etc. Also, you'd think they won't absorb much because they're "ultra thin", but I've never had any of those problems that you have with normal pads after a heavy night, where it feels like somethings just going to spill out of the pad, it feels just fine. By far my pad of choice.
.Carefree.
I like their perfumed liners, they're good for days when it gets .stinky. down there. Kinda bulky though..I'm still dying to try their new range of pads. I will eventually. Cheap too only $3.95. Dunno why I haven't tried yet...but as soon as I do this will be updated.
