My vagina has a smell. I'm not embarrassed by it as all vaginas do, and I think girls often freak out about their smell, and I know I have in the past. I know in the past hygiene companies have tried to tell women that their vagina smell is wrong, marketing lots of feminine "powders" to mask the smell, which only make it worse.
A vagina doesn't smell bad..mostly. If it smells really bad, like somethings died up there, eg fish, you may have an infection which you should go see the doctor about. Covering it up with perfumed stuff will only mask it, and if you get sweaty the smells will mix and ewwwww!
My vagina used to smell bad. When I was right in the middle of puberty, it was a really strong, kinda fishy smell. Sometimes it was pleasant but no matter what the smell it was very strong. I could smell it if I was sitting down and I was always scared that others could too, but I don't think they could. I freaked out about it a lot, but after a while it's gone away. Now my vagina has a pleasant sort of odour to it, it's distinctive, but not gross. It only smells bad when I have my .period., and that's from the .blood. coming into contact with oxygen.
Sometimes it smells stronger than other times, it smells strong when I have my period, or when my boyfriend and I have been having sex, or ovulating. But when my hormone levels should be normal it doesn't seem to smell at all. I'm not worried about the smell it has though, my boyfriend likes it and it turns me on. (Ever wonder why perverted guys steal girls dirty .knickers.?) Because they like the smell. So if you're freaking out thinking you have a stinky vagina, think again :)
