Microgynon 20 ED was the first Pill I was on. I didn't like it very much. There are 3 strengths available, Microgynon 20 ED, Microgynon 30 ED and Microgynon 50 ED. (The ED stands for every day) They are all Levonorgestrel and ethyinylestradiol combinations. They are available in single sheet packs (1 months supply) of 21 pills or 28 pills, or 3 sheet packs (3 months supply) of 21 pills or 28 pills per sheet.


A box of Microgynon 30 ED. This box contains 3 months supply (3 sheets of 21 tabs, this box does not have the placebo sugar pills). Microgynon 20 ED comes in a box that looks exactly the same, and Microgynon 50 ED comes in a blue box.

Microgynon 20 ED contains 100 micrograms of levonorgestrel, and 20 grams of ethinylestradiol. Microgynon 30 ED contains 150 grams of levonorgestrel and 30 grams of ethinylestradiol, and Microgynon 50 contains 125 micrograms of levonorgestrel and 50 grams of ethinylestradiol. All 3 have 7 placebo sugar pills containing 48.25mg of lactose.
