The Ostriches completed their inaugural Sunday season winning the championship over a heavily favored Bullfrogs team 9-8 in OT. The game winner scored by C-Note capped one of the greatest comebacks in Newton history. Tho Ostriches were down 5-1 at the end of the first but came out on fire in the second with 5 unanswered goals, 4 from Greg on long bombs that the Bullfrogs goalie couldn't stop. The Ostriches started the evening beating the second seeded Rebels in a 9-4 upset before beating the first ranked Bullfrogs.
NOTE:Gerry has been suspended for 4 weeks and did not play in either game Sunday. The next Sunday season begins for the NEW WATCH CITY TITANS March 14th at 6pm

The Ostriches start their Sunday evening careers the right way with a win. C-note led the scoring as the Ostriches beat Dead Last 9-5. Phil turned in another excellent game despite almost puking throughout the second half and newcomer Gerry 'the stats guy' tallied a goal in the effort. TBT also knocked in a few goals along with scoring some PIM's to keep on track with Adam. Next game is next sunday and a Sunday schedule will be posted when it is made.
NOTE: There is no game Tuesday, it will be rescheduled. Next Tuesday game is the 30th.

The Ostriches narrowly escaped a tough battle to extend their winning streak to 2. A.K.Crease came out strong and started the scoring for the night, but the ostriches were to return the favor soon after. The crease took the lead for the second time, only to have the ostriches tie it again, and then take a one goal lead that they would not relinquish. The first half ended as C-note scored top shelf on Glen "I'm changing my email address" Miller, with just 3 seconds left to make it 5-3. The second Half was all Ostriches as C-note went on a tear and Phil the magnificent stoned every crease attempt. The Ostriches hung on to a slim 13-3 lead to win the game. Also of note is Adam is back in the PIM's race as he got 6 last night, 4 of which were because Fatty McNuggets tried to plant his head into the boards. The Ostriches face off next week at 8pm versus B.A.O., it is the third time these two teams will meet, and last for the regular season.

Several Ostrich team members take part in the WTBP (World Tournament of Beer-Pong). Adam showed up huge for his team, as he and TBT were crowned unofficial champions. Though Adam may be out several weeks as he injured his back carrying the team. TBT created a new style of play called, "I can hang all over the table like a cheap hookah on a five dollar bill, and still miss". While his brother who partnered up with Pat taught everyone the "I call this the no-look". Conlon had a few key shots but not enough to carry the team. Phil observed the games and several times tried to jump on the table to block opposing players shots.

The Ostriches officially enter a team into the Sunday league at NISC, Gerry the stats man will be joining the team. We are currently looking for a defensemen as Crispy-C and Greg the new guy have opted not to play twice a week, their prima-dona contracts allow them 6 days a week off and they are livin it up.
