About the Panthers: There is not much room for Perry to improve, coming off back-to-back state runner-up finishes. The same goes for the Schlatter, who has been on top of the prep wrestling world for the past three years. The good news is Schlatter has not let up for an instant in his drive for a fourth state championship, and second-year head coach Dolph says his Panthers motor to unseat defending champion Lakewood St. Edward is in overdrive. Its doubtful any team can be better graduating multiple state champions (Steve Luke, Jason Johnstone), but at Perry, all things still seem possible. Thomas Straughn and Chris Hartley are threats to join Schlatter atop the award stand in Columbus.
