GENESIS
Too often I try to say,
In few words or less
The way I feel
To one I love
Who misunderstands as though unheard
The words
Which time or shared experience
Might have differently stated
Or other times not required
Instead,
Again and again,
I ramble on
Filling time with little experience
Avoiding touch
Getting more confused
As the unspoken words accumulate
And those spoken collide
And,
Yet,
The pure simplicity of life as it was meant to be
Requires no speeches
Only two persons living their best
Such that each loves the other holy
And,
Yet,
Evermore is free
Blissfully speechless and innocent
As each once in Paradise was
As each in Eternity, evermore, always shall be. Amen.
