\ JV MUSTANGS SHUTOUT BRAVES, 25-0
TEHACHAPI NEWS - After nearly two full quarters of scoreless football action, Stockdale put six points on the scoreboard just before the half and proceeded to score on the next three possessions in the third and fourth quarters to shutout the Braves, 25-0. The Braves’ defense played a solid first half, forcing the Mustangs to punt away on their first three offensive series. Then with just 55 seconds remaining in the second quarter, the Mustangs broke an 80-yard run for what became the winning touchdown. The Tehachapi High School junior varsity football team never got inside the Stockdale 20 in nine offensive possessions. The Braves rushed for just 52 yards and had zero passing yards in three attempts. Tehachapi quarterback Ehren Ochsenrider was sacked five times as the THS line had trouble containing the Mustangs. The Braves’ record fell to 1-3 as they prepare to host the Garces Ramblers this Friday on Coy Burnett Field. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
